There is a problem with one of 3 things here: The USB cable for charging, the AC adapter for charging, or MOST LIKELY the battery. The warranty should cover this. Call customer service and tell them your situation.

There are several reasons why this player may not be charging properly. The cause is either coming from the battery inside of your MP3 Player, a bad or faulty USB cable connection, or something (software) isn't installed correctly. Let's look at the first cause- The battery. The battery life may be gone. If it is, you will need to replace it if possible. Your device takes a
90 day warrenty. I would return it. I just opened mine last night, and was up all night reading and applying. I am noticing some sketchy stuff with it however... I will play it out.
Check when the adapter is plugged if the battery is charging correctly and if it charges to the full. Leave it one for about a day and check if charged , Now check the time it works ,till you fully discharge and repeat the process.
But if the battery is not holding charge, try for final with your carr charger or one from a friend beffroe wee can fully confirm the battery is faulty . Replace ONLY with the original from the dealer with the warrranty.

Hi. Most likely this kind of problems occurs when the battery is exhausted after a long time of using it. because even intergrated (rechargeable) Batteries Wont Last forever. the chemical substances(lithium-ion) in it Drains after a period of charging/discharging(using the device).
Solution:
if you have a common Mp3 player, You can purchase a new fresh battery and replace it. its quick and easy.
i can instruct you if you want so. First check ebay for the exact same battery that you have inside you Mp3 Player.
I've had units that took overnight , and the next day read (almost fully charged. Your not tring to charge it from the laptop battery are you....No I didn't think so. Give it a night and see what happens.

I think it over charged. I left it on all day. When I returned home it was turned off. Before when I tried to turn it off it wouldn't. I turned it back on and it was fine, but the battery was very low. I charged it for a smaller amount of time. It is now fine and working like normal!
