Question about Fujitsu 18C1 Air Conditioner
After changing the batteries you have to depress the RST button and if the remote has the abcd slide switch ensure it is set to A.

did that but remote still does not work
what now?
To clarify just in case. Make sure the remote is the one with the slide cover.
1. Remove the slide cover
2. Take out old batteries (ONLY TAKE OUT DONT PUT NEW ONES YET)
3. Make sure the ABCD slide is on A.
4. Depress the RST button.
5. Put new batteries.
6. Put cover back on and test.

where is the RST button? is it on the remote or the AC unit?

Are you sure you have the right remote? The one where the batteries are stored under the slide cover?
If it is than step by step:
1. Remove slide
2. Take out old batteries
3. Make sure the ABCD slide switch is on A.
4. Depress the RST button.
5. THEN put the new batteries in. (make sure they are in the correct position)
6. Close slide cover and test.
