yes you can add another sub to your amp. hopefully it has another terminal to let you do so if not you can just use one and splice the wire to each woofer. and yes get a capacitor itll save your battery alternator ect... i waited to long and fryed my heated seats from my car power surging
Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally, the wiring and speakers need to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
I am having the same issue, my kicker kx 1200 watt amp was pushing two JL Audio W6 12's and amp has power but no speaker out put, sending my amp to kicker for the thrid time. I tryed in my friends car with no luck.
