Under some circumstances the water dispenser can leak water into the spill trap when not in use. This problem could be caused by one of several scenarios involving the installation of the refrigerator doors. Small leaks are often triggered when a new water filter is installed. The exact location of some parts will vary depending on your model of refrigerator.

Keep a glass under the dispenser for up to three seconds after releasing the lever. The water doesn't cut off immediately, and there may be a few remaining drops in the system. This is normal and doesn't need any further attention.Run the water dispenser into a large container for three minutes. Empty the contents of the container down the sink. A newly installed water filter may spurt or leak water from the dispenser until the water is run for a few minutes. Some dispensers may cut off after a few minutes automatically.

Run the dispenser intermittently -- five seconds on, five seconds off -- for two minutes. This measure clears air trapped in the supply line, filter and dispenser system. Some dispensers will spurt or leak water until all air is purged from the system. The water valve for the dispenser is electric controlled and in the rear of the machine. Which is why there is no leak while it is off. There is a push in connector which can be purchased at most hardware stores that is most likely either cracked, or simply not connected tight which is why there is a leak when the water dispenser is turned on. Check that union. should be near the bottom door hinge. It is there so the door can be removed if necessary.

ur serervoir assembly is probably cracked

faulty water valve turn both off to see if it stops then turn on one at a time if it leaks thats it

PLease check the hose that goes from the INLET VALVE to the dispensing system cup on your washer. This hose probably has a hole or the plastic dispensor is cracked and therefore leaking.
The inlet valve is working and when the time comes the water goes to the dispensing cup, so the system is working it is just the hose, dispensing cup or both.

Check the fill tube to your icemaker and see if it has ice in it or in the fill cup to the icemaker. Most of the time when this problem happens it is the icemaker spraying the water. It could also be a bad module on the icemaker which can get stuck in the fill position and spray water all over the freezer.
