You did not list the card specs (AMD/Nvidia model) for reference. If you don't have a card currently get the best AGP 8x card you can find. Keep in mind that that with that CPU a higher end card will probably bottleneck so don't go crazy. Some web consensus is a geforce 5500. Possibly a Radeon 7000 series for higher frames.

Download the drivers you need from Asus;

Realtek Audio Driver and VIA Onboard VGA Driver.
Once the site above loads you'll need to click on the drop down menu and click on you're operating system.

could be a number of things.try totally different memory, cpu, motherboard. swap things out til you find the one thats the culprit.

PS - as you can see the rangeis 533 - 667 MHz. I would suggest you call HP support and ask if it will support 800 MHz,

You do not use a jumper to run the CPU fan. There will be a small 3 or 4 pin plug near the CPU mount and you can plug the wire from the fan into that plug only. If the one on the motherboard has 3 pins and your plug has 4, you can use it anyway; just be sure the slot on the back of the plug matches the side of the one on the board.

This motherboard supports AMD 939 pin Athlon 64 FX/ Athlon 64 processors with 1MB, 512 KB L2 cache which is based on 64 bit architecture. It features 1600 MT/s HyperTransport Bus, dual-channel unbuffered DDR400 memory support and AMD cooling Technology. So you should be able to use the RAM as long as it falls into the above specs. Either replace the line to the fan (or get a new fan with a longer cord )or leave the side door of your CPU off a bit and maybe put a fan beside it.

Max speed supported for your mobo is: DDR2-533
You will have to buy (4) 1gb sticks (2gb sticks not supported)
To use all four gigs of ram you need a 64 bit os.32 bit only supports 3gb of ram. Hope this helps!
