Re: I want to restore factory settings I dont have pin 2
You do not need a PIN 2 code to reset the phone. Go to Settings > General > Factory Reset. The code you will need to enter is the Lock code.Normally, it is 12345 but if you have changed it you will need to remember it.

The simplest and quickest way is to take the Cmos battery out.
Wait 10-15 min. Then re-insert this should put the system back to defaults. You may also have to Rest the Cmos.
Find the Cmos reset jumper on the Motherboard. Jumper should be on pins 1 and 2 (default). Put jumer on pins 2 and 3. Do this with the Power off and plug pulled for outlet. wait 10-15 sec and place the jumper back on pins 1 and 2. Plug machine in and restart.

the d600 has a 8 pins chip, like the c600 where the pasword/faxtory setting is stored.. it's located under the tape where the pcicma socket is..close to edge of the board it sais:UPW1 I think you can use the paperclip methode like the c600 wich means short two pins ( 3& 6) while you power the lap
Unplug the tv from all power source for a good 12-24 hours. However before that, have your tried a restore back to default settings? In general you would hold the menu and power button at the same time for a few seconds to "reset" the tv, and thus no more pin, then you can make a new pin once default is back. Also if your pin was a pin set from the factory you can contact them to get the default pin for your tv, or do search online if the pin was generic. Other steps can be done if those dont work but yes, your issue can be fixed.
If you want to restore your computer to factory settings, and you dont mind losing your files, you will need to get the cd recovery disc, put it in the cd-rom drive and reboot your computer. it will start the process from there.
beware, it will erase everything that currently is on there and when finished bring the computer to the original factory settings.
