Doesn"t cool properly. Freezer will only go 2 20 degrees & refrigerator portion only to about 40 degrees.

First thing- set the controls at the mid range of their settings. Next, check the coils under the fridge to see if they are clogged with dust, etc. Next, using a couple stem thermometers, determine the temps in the freezer and fresh food sections. In the fresh food section, place a tall glass of water on a shelf in the middle, put the thermometer in and let it set for awhile in the fridge. Inside the fresh food section, look for the damper opening at the top of the wall in between the two sections. Wet the back of your fingers- can you feel air blowing through the damper opening? Inside the freezer section, look at the back wall- any frost buildup there.

Freezer is blowing but not cool.. Ice has melted and items are defrosting..

Make sure the cooling fins are free of dust and debris. If not try to recharge the freon supply. If that don't work the compressor might be going bad. Which in most cases it's easier to replace the unit after parts and labor you could be looking at some serious money......Hope that was helpful....... : )

It is a cheap piece of junk. I bought one just this week and the defrost timer gets stuck so it's going back...........
Its defrost problem, the freezer should cool,
then freeze, then defrost cycle should start. In your case freezer is cooling,
then freezing, but its not defrosting. That's why fridge section is not
cooling.-------
