We are using IBM X226 server with 4 GB RAM & 146 GB SCSI HDD. We are using it for ERP application . It is very slow . When HP proliant ML 110 server with 2 GB & 160 GB SATA is used in its place it gives similar performance. We tried with upgrading the BIOS and installing OS (Win 2003 server) again , did not work.

Our server hp proliant ml 150 g2 was working with 4 gb RAM. BUT few days before, there was a problem in our ups system. so its turned off. after that, when i started it, its stuck on pre post startup...

Try the same steps but not in that order. The problem seems to be appearing during booting.
1.After boot-up try powering on the external drive
2.Shut down the computer from the start menu
3.Then power off the external drive
4.Hopefully on the next boot-up problem will be solved

I am using ProLiant ML110 Server i wont to use windows xp how to find the driver for xp

Hi,

ProLiant ML 110 server series does not supports windows XP. It Support only the below OS.

  1. Windows 2000
  2. Windows 2003
  3. NetWare 5.1
  4. NetWare 6.0
  5. NetWare 6.5
  6. RHEL 2.1 (32 Bit)
  7. RHEL 4 (32 Bit)
  8. RHL 9
  9. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8
If you want to force this hardware to support windows XP, then download windows 2003 drivers which is equivalent to XP; but not the same as XP.

Configure & install two scsi disks scsi disks in ML 150 G2

The SCSI driver is required to installed during the initial boot up for installation when additional drivers are asked .the new models dont come with a Floppy drive so an external floppy drive can be used .The detection of HDD s must be at the startup by the Bios os SCSI card.
