reading the manual, you will need to install all the software before it will be recognised on a Mac - see page 130 onwards
Page 137 goes through the USB connection
When you reformat again using the proper disk, you should be ok with formatting. Whether or not you can recover the video is yet to be seen. Regards, Joe
You should have some form of cable that goes from the camera to a USB connection.
The computer should recognize the camera as a device. If the camera came with any software install it.on the computer.
Software like Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere Pro or Corel VideoStudio should all work. My advise would be to also use a Firewire cable (may involve installing a firewire card) Just using the USB connecting will often if not always loose the audio
im sure that your mini dvd will be readable with your dvd rom. if its not then try to use your mini dvd with your camcorder and use usb wire to connect it to your pc. install the cd driver came with your camcorder. use ulead movie maker to detect the camcorder and edit it to that. save it with any various types of videos that you like burn it with nero burner as a dvd disc.now you can watch it to your dvd player. hope that helps!
