I am pleased you got it sorted out, but you are perfectly entitled to shoot animals that attack livestock. Discharging a weapon in an urban environment isn't though, so it depends where you live.
After market parts and accessories rarely live up to the performance and durability of the name brand ones. You pay more upfront, but you don't have to buy replacements down the road. Sorry but it sounds like your out of luck. Buy it from Nintendo next time.
I had the same problem until I realized I was holding the nunchuk "backward." Or rather, upside down. With your palm facing down toward the floor, the nunchuk should curve upward, and the center button that sticks up should be facing to where your thumb can rest on it. I had mine the other way, with my thumb on the "trigger" and nothing was registering. So, play with the positioning of the nunchuk in your hand.
There are two optaions for you to find one, one of the simpler ones would be to find a video game store and ask if they have the booklet in stock and they should be able to give you one, or you can try e-bay, im sure there is something on there. I hope I have helped you in anyway.
