My Razr phone has worked good for over a year...it fell in some water 6 months ago but after drying it out its been working great. Recently it is not holding the charge. The strange this is that I'll charge it overnight and it will say charge complete. When I remove the cha?rger it goes right to yellow and says the phone needs to be charged. Any clues

the only thing you can do is is to take to the service center as you said power button is broked ... and phone fell in water... it may have the firmware problem but if u install the new firmware also you need the power button.. so i suggest you to ttake it to service center and repair both problems
Yep. I dropped my Blackberry in the toilet completely. It would not charge or turn on for 1 day. But it worked after that. You need to let it dry out. Give it a day or two. You can also try taking out all the pieces and using a hair dryer. If it doesn't work, you can always buy yourself one of those prepaid phones and just use your sim card with it until you can afford a new phone. Good luck.
Usually the batter gets fried when it comes in contact with water (I know because I dove into a pool, swam for 10 minutes, and had my phone in my pocket!).
1. Take the battery out of your phone instantly after water damage. 2. Dry your phone with a blow-dryer until thoroughly dry. 3. Dry the battery. 4. Place the battery back in the phone and press the power button. 5. If the phone turns on, good, if not continue to step 6.
6. Find a friend with a RAZR and use his/her battery in your phone.
If the other battery works purchase a new battery... and by the way... the lines on your screen WILL GO AWAY lol
Doesn't sound NORMAL to me. JK. Try to take out your sim card and turn the phone on. Does the screen do the same thing? If not, turn off and insert your sim card. Turn the phone back on. Is it still reacting the same way? If so, it's the sim card. If not, I guessed we fixed it. If all else fails, open the back of the screen and see if anything is loose.
yes it is bad
getting hot means that the internals are frying or shorting out
leave the battery off of it for about a week then try it again.
I really don't like your chances of it working properly again though.
sorry to say this but a wet phone is ruined. You will have to take it to a tech at your phone server. They will either repair it or you will have to get another one. Water and phones do not go together at all. Sux.
