The XP audio driver should work with Windows 2000.
I suggest you use Windows XP - its a later version of Windows than Windows 2000.
You can download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Y tried the compaq site a few months ago for drivers but they don't have any audio drivers for win 2000. Y would rather not change my os back to Xp, because it's going to run slow, veeeery slow. So if anyone knows where i can find audio drivers for Win 2000, for my compaq armada 1592 dmt, please help. Thank you
