Re:
Cyber-shot cameras nowadays have a built-in rechargeable battery for
retaining time, date, and other settings. Since the built-in
rechargeable battery is not removable, current Cyber-shot camera models
can only be returned to the original factory settings by pressing a
small RESET button on the camera or by
using an Initialize option in the menu. Older-model
Cyber-shot cameras (prior to the year 2000) do not have a built-in
rechargeable battery and do not have a RESET
button or Initialize option in the menu.
These cameras require a manual power reset. IMPORTANT: To
determine whether or not your camera has a RESET
button or Initialize option, or for other
model-specific information to complete any of the steps in this
solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product.
Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty
section of the Sony® eSupport Web site. Follow the
appropriate procedure below for your camera. Using
an Initialize option in the menu Since Cyber-shot cameras
have different menu system layouts, refer to the instruction
manual specific for your camera model. Using
a RESET button
Locate the RESET button on the camera.
Use a
pointed object (like a ballpoint pen) to press and hold the RESET button for 2-3 seconds.
After 2-3
seconds has elapsed, release the RESET
button.
Performing a manual power
reset
Turn off the camera.
Remove
the battery pack.
Remove the button-sized lithium battery.
Allow
the camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.

Please press the Menu button and select the setup 1 Menu. Then, select the Initialize option to reset the camera to factory settings. Let me know if you have any other issues.
Please remove the Battery from the Camera then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Next, reinsert the battery pack and turn ON the Camera. You may also try resetting the Camera to the original factory settings by follow the steps given below: Press Home button on the Camera to display home screen. Select Settings with left/right arrow on the control button. Next, select the Main Settings 1 then Initialize and OK.
Performing the above steps will reset the Camera to the original factory settings.
If the issue persists even after performing all the above steps then service will be required.
If the camera works in all other respects, then that has something to do with the flash setting or some other setting in the menus. But this sounds like something with the flash directly.
Here is a link which may be able to help on the DSC H7: http://www.aakatz.com/whitepaper/whitepaper/appendix2.htm
Try also to reset all the menu setting back to what it was for the factory. Most digital cameras have a setting for that, and usually is something like "RESET ALL" or something close to that.
If nothing works, then the camera needs repair. This is an error to do with the flash only, it appears. So some of the internal parts could be weak, thus causing the error.
The WAN settings should be configured by Verizon personnel only. If you reset the VDI-604 or VDI-624 to factory defaults, you will need to contact Verizon to reconfigure your WAN settings.
