I have a motorola cliq when I first start it up the screen lights up with the motorola M then it goes black the keys light up but not the screen?

Try flashing new firmware.

Cool Rhyming Question!
So, am I understanding correctly, when turned on, your phone will light up (LED's, Keys, Etc) but the screen will stay black?

Try a hard reset, to do this remove the battery while the phone is powered on. Leave it out for about 15 secs then reboot the phone. If the problem still occurs contact Motorola/your service provider as it should be eligible for warranty.

My phones died so I charged it and when I try to turn it on it says m blur n the word blur flashes as usual but its been on that same screen for likr ten minutes what do I do?

Hi, well hopefully it will NOT be anything too serious. Now first remove the battery, wait a minute, and replace the battery. Now see if it "Boots up" OK, if NOT, then even though you recharged maybe the battery had a fault, you must in this case obtain a new freshly charged battery, and try that one
try a hard Reset, see below... This will erase all data BUT it may get your phone back.

When i try to slide the keyboard out of my cliq the screen turns black everytime but if i close it and try to turn the screen on it turns on

it has a loose connection in the screen. if you have insurance you should have it replaced. It's not something fixable from any menu's or settings.

My Motorola Cliq won't turn on.

try taking out the battery for a while. then plug it in for a while. but don't turn it on for a while. same thing happened to me. if nothing happens call up T-Mobile. make em send you a new one via yer warranty if you haven't had it for a year yet. although i need another new one after they sent me a new one already.

When I turn my new Motorola Cliq to the side nothing happens, the screen does not change to wide screen

there's a setting in [ Settings > Display & Security > Orientation ] that lets you set orientation.

Motorola Cliq-Home Key Issues

Try doing a hard restore

1. Shut down the phone
2. Hold the power button & camera button until a triangular picture pops up
3. Let go of the button that it tells you to.
4. Press Alt+S when your at the triangular screen

I Have the same problem. The Charging indicator is charging but the battery drains instead of charging. I swapped batteries and the same thing happens

My cliq did the same exact thing. I got T-mobile to send me a new one via my warranty. you cud do that if you havn't had it for over a year. but my new one just did the same thing. I think I'ma invest in a blackberry.
