Phone model sony ericsson w900I problem :- after cd software installation and phone USB connection and the cable bells out correctly the pc won't see the phone connected. The phone knows it is connected as it tell me not to disconnect from the PC. the software won't find the connection and says "No device connected"

Try to Update your driver may it will work for you here are the easiest step for updating the drivers:

Connect your device to the PC using data Cable (USB cable)
Now On Desktop of you PC
Right click on My computer icon and select Properties
Click on Device Manager
(Or follow Start button --> Control Panel --> Device Manager)

Now search for your hardware whom you want to update.
Right click on it and click on Update Driver Software...

It will ask for CD or DVD then insert the driver CD/DVD if you don't have then it will ask for searching the drivers over internet click Yes for it and it will automatically download the drivers for you.

Or you can use Third party software which can search, Download and Update them for you without making much effort..

If you experience problems when using the USB cable during synchronisation:

just put the games (which have to be java files) in the "other" folder of your phone/memory card (via card reader or directy pluggin the phone into the usb). Then if you browse to the "other" file (menu>organizer & tools>my files>other) Click the java and it will install. Once installed you can theoretically delete the file. Now you will find it in the game category.

First uninstall all the drivers and of the phone and the software, then remove the cable usb of the phone and restart the computer, insert the software CD and install the software's while installing at one point it will ask to insert the usb cable of the phone at that time insert only the cable without the phone, after installing restart the computer again, now you can connect the phone to the USB cable, when you connect the cable, the phone will automatically ditect and wait for sometime cos the computer will install some drivers to the phone. when this is finished try using

you have to first install the cd software that came with the phone.....then when that is done connect the phone to pc via usb cable, then switch it to file transfer then transfer from music-photos to the phone memory or memory card........
