DISH Network 322 DTV Receiver Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jun 25, 2010

Dish Network 322 will not work both TV's at the same time. If TV1 is on it works fine, but TV2 says aquiring satellite signal. If TV2 is on it works fine, but TV1 will say aquiring satellite signal. Both satellites 119 and 110 lock in with strength over 80. I tried moving the dish to a new location and replaced the LNB, no luck. Any suggestions?

Further investigation revealed that the receivers TV1 input tuner has failed. I went to the dish point screen. TV2 input tuner worked fine with both satellites. TV1 input tuner was dead. I switched the input cables and got the same results. Therefore the LNB and cables are OK, TV1 tuner failed. Replacement receiver is on the way for $15.

Hello! Dan Busa with Dish Netywork here intermittent signal loss like that is usually caused by some sort of glitch a hard reset ( unplugging it for ten seconds ) will usually resolve this. If your signal strength is at or above 80 that should be fine, but keep in mind you need good signal strength on both the 119 and 110 satellites ideally you should be at 70 .

Dual control noted on Dish tv screen but cannot change stations separately on both tvs

Each TV receiver has to be fed with a separate cable from the lnb. They can not be bridges or split.

Just intalled system to new tv. the dvr works but i am not getting a signal

If you're sure everything is connected correctly check your tv input, there is a special input channel for each cable. FOR TV1: RCA: input 1,input2,video 1,video2, if you're using a coax cable: channel 3 or 4. If the problem is on TV 2 you're using a coax cable and it has to be on channel 60 or 73. For a wiring diagram you can visit the official dish website (it's on your bill) & visit the technical support page. This link is for tv1, you will also find the steps for tv2

starstruck32,

I do hope this has been fixed for you by now starstruck32, but if not there definitely may be a bigger problem we would need to have a technician go out and check. What I would like you to do is go to Menu -> System Setup -> Installation -> Point Dish -> Check Switch -> Test. You can let me know here what it shows.

If only one satellite signal is still being recognized we would have to have a technician go out, if you could send me an email at [email protected] and I would be happy to assist you further with that!

Hi hartbettinaI see where your TV2 has a blue screen, there are a couple of things you can doyou can do. The first things you want to do is press the buttons of MENU-6-1-5and see if TV2 is set to channel 60 or 73 and make sure TV2 is on that channel.Once TV2 is on the channel on the Modular Setup page you will want to unplugthe receiver for 10 seconds and plug it back in and it will reset itself. Iwill send a link that will help with these steps. http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/black-blue-tv2

Hello! My name is Becki Barned, and I am from Dish Network customer service. The problem that you are having is simple to fix. Although your remote works for the volume, and power, it is not working for the satellite. It does need to be reprogrammed. Just take it to tv1. With your tv1 remote, press the menu button twice. Then with the tv2 non-working remote, hold down the SAT button until all the mode lights light up at the top, then release. Then press the #9 on the remote keypad, then the pound (#) button, then record (above the number 3 on the keypad) 3 times. This should resolve your issue!!! If not, you can blog back, or find us on Twitter!!!!

I disconnected the 322 to install a new TV1. TV2

You should have one line entering the home behind the TV1 attached to it there should be a device exactly as you saw outside. You will want the line from outside connected to the single port called in/out and the SAT port goes to the silver seperator. The two lines leaving the seperator attach to the SAT in on the receiver. The UHF poret on the device connects to the home distibution port on the receiver.

Problem jumps back and froth from tv1 to tv2

One of the inputs on the back of the 322 box is bad. usaly 1 wire runs from the dish into a seperator that splits the signal into 2 at the back of the box. you will need to call dish and have a new 322 sent out. 1-888-333-3474

Setting up remote 2

Ok lets assume you have the correct remote for the TV2 on a 322, you will need to take this remote to the TV1 location . Turn TV1 on and with the TV1 remote press menu-menu. You are now at the sytem info screen. Towards the bottom third of the screen you will see some wording that reads primary remote address and secondary remote address. Now with the TV2 remote press and hold the SAT button until all buttons across the top light up and release. The SAT button will be flashing. Now key in a two digit number between 1-17 that is unique to this remote only. Press the pound sign and the SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button and the number you chose should now appear next to the TV2 icon. Are you good to go? If so exit out of all screens on TV1 and try thr TV2 remote at its location. You should be able to control the satellite now. If you can't ensure that the antenna on the back of the receiver is present and there are no obstructions in front of it. If you still are having issues - like you have to be at a certain point in the room- the remote antenna may need to be moved from the back of the receiver to the TV2 location Thanks for using Fix Ya.
