Hi Thanks
for using FixYa. To start with check the water inlet valve which is located
behind the lower access panel on the left or right side of the Dishwasher. If
the water inlet valve is bad you have to replace it, also check the main water
line for clogs/obstructions. If still the issue is not resolved then it’s a bad
float switch and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the
issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance. Thanks Rylee

Check the drain pump it is located in the front of you unit .Disconnect power or flip breaker .Remove the front kick plate then there is a metal plate above that is held on with 4 screws remove that and reach in and press lever on pump and turn counter clockwise it will come right out .Then check for items in the pump area could be glass. Hope it is helpfull
When the
dishwasher fills then it means that the control and the water inlet valve are
fine, hum sound itself indicates that the motor is bad and needs replacement.
If you hear a hum sound from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that
is bad and if the hum comes from the control then it is the timer that is bad
and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
If you hear a hum when it should be washing, the motor has seized. Replace motor. If it fills with water and stops quite, run it through a test using the tech sheet under the bottom panel to access. These dishwasher have had issues with the motor.
check to make sure you have water at the fill valve.where the water goes into the valve take of the hose going to the faucet and see if you have water there when you turn the faucet on.does the humming start as soon as you push start?
Check the faucet first, turn off the faucet, disconnect the dishwasher copper hose, re-open the faucet and check you faucet see if there is water come out, sometimes there is a small stone or sand block the faucet. Good luck, hope this can help, if not we check the others.
Favorite for bosch is the water inlet modual which monitors the water flow in could be faulty, If incorrect pulses take place the motor wont proceed. Otherwise listen for a hum after water stops filling. If there is a hum, the main wash pump is jambed and has to be sorted out.
