Re: WD-52525 will not turn on, Flashing Red light.
If that is a dlp tv . not shure just by model. but if it is then they do have a lot of problems with vented filtor capacitors on power supply and other boards. magor work unless you replace chassis. but the very first thing to try is lamp and make shure cooling fans and vents are clean. J.D.W.

This chassis has bad capacitors on the PWB,FMt, DM and the other boards that need to be replaced. They are all jamicon capacitors 1000uf and larger there are roughly 10 in the set that need to be replaced. Let me know if you need further instructions on this model.
Turn on the set and let it shut down. push in the Menu and Device (or input, I don't have a schematic in front of me) buttons on the front of the set at the same time and hold until the green light starts flashing. Then release.
There will be two different sets of flashes, such as, 3 and 6. The code 12 means the set is opperating fine. The other codes will tell you what part of the set needs repaired.
Also, remove the bulb and check the ballast connection to the bulb. I find the connection for the bulb bent over when a customer replaces the lamp sometimes.
Let me know what you find and we can go from there.
