Are you wanting to install circuit breakers on the DC (battery) side? If so, you won't need them to protect the unit as it is already fused. But, it would be a good idea to install them as close to the battery so that if a wiring fault develops in te cable going to the inverter, it would be protected as well.

For the AC side, breakers are sized according to the wire size, not the capacity of the inverter. But, you can always use a smaller size if you want to try and protect the inverter from overloads as well. Your inverter is rated at 1000 watts, which is a bit over 8 amps of AC current. Use a 10 amp circuit breaker, and don't use smaller than 16ga wire for short distances. Use larger guage wire (12ga is 20amp residential requirement, 14ga is 15amp residential requirement) for the longer runs.

This inverter is not designed for a permanent install, its not intended to be run continuously. There are inverters designed for this, you can find an idea of product selection at rv suppliers, alternative energy shops, etc.

A 1000 watt power inverter hooks to the battery terminals directly, not through the cigarette lighter.

Monitor too dark, only mouse pointer is visible

You have a failed inverter or a dislodged cable. The inverter sits below the lcd under the lcd bazel.IF you are going to attempt to repair this yourself remove the battery and the ac adapter first. There are some plastic rubber feet that cover some screws on the front of the bazel, remove these plastic covers then the screws.Use your finger and gently pry the plastic away.Below the lcd is a small circiut board with with two conector attached .That board is what gives the lcd light .Sometimes this plug become unpluged. If this is so .Reattached Ifd not replace.
Good luck

Electric fan continues to run even when car is off and engine is cold

OK, This should get you started on the problem. You need to remove the Fuse first to stop it running. Locate the fan switch and check that it is not permanently on (Short Circiut). If it is, Fit a new switch.
If not, then you need to locate the Fan Relay Switch and see if this is stuck on.
Thats assuming you do not have a short circiut in the wiring loom.

You can drive without the fan but not in slow traffic, you must have airflow across the radiator to avoid damaged. Do not allow the car to overheat.

I need to install a power converter in my truck. Can any one help me with the basics? Please get back to me. Keith

What is it exactly that you want to accomplish? It looks like this unit is powered by the electrical system of your truck, but if it indeed can provide 2500 Watts of output power, its input demand from your truck electrical system will be in excess of 200 Amps!!! You'll need some pretty hefty wiring to support that type of demand, and I doubt if your alternator can put out that amount of current.
Are you sure you want/need to do this - and run it off your truck electrical system?

Appropriate size inverter for sump pumps

First...you need to find the amperage on the pump...your inverter is rated for 6.25 Amps...(750/120)...you will need an inverter bigger then the pump..I would suggest at least 1.5 times the size of the pump..bear in mind,..the inverter wasnt designed to start motors...so oversizing is needed..

Hope this helps

Philips 104E width uncontrollable

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
