Driver power window on 2005 buick lacrosse is stuck in open position. All other windows work. Is there a fuse to check?

Do the other windows open an close? If so,get a voltmeter an test for battery voltage at the driver's door window switch . lights an radio staying on after opening door could be a problem with the accessory delay relay.

That happens usually when battery is dead . Check connections again also check voltage on battery may need a charge . You said you cleaned your batt terminals corroded terminals is a sign of a leaky battery

NO - Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Disconnect the driver window switch C2 harness connector.
1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Probe the power window switch voltage supply circuit of the harness connector with a test lamp that is connected to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?
Yes - Go to Step 4
NO - Go to Step 5
Connect the test lamp between the power window switch voltage supply circuit and the ground circuit of the harness connector.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 6

Test for an open or a short to ground in the power window switch voltage supply circuits of the driver window and front passenger window switches. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the power window master switch lockout signal circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

There is no fuse. The circuit is protected by a breaker. The lower half of the diagram you're seeing is meant to reference that these relays are behind the fuses. A circuit breaker almost never goes bad, though, so your problem is most likely a regulator/motor assembly (if one window is inoperable) or the master switch on the driver's door panel (usually when all windows are inoperable)

Did you have the cars computer brain reset?

Either the master switch or a partial open in the wires in the hinge area.

Hi, I have a 2005 MCSc Just like yours. All of the forums know of this frequent problem. All suggest lightly hitting the door just above the door speaker as you toggle the switch up. It has worked for me several times. Beleive me you feel kinda stupid hitting the door to make the window work but it works. Seems like the limit positioning switch gets stuck especially in the heat. since your other power windows are working and if the other interior accessories are working fine I would suggest having the power window motor actuator checked and replaced if found to be defective.
