Hi what are you using to connect to the telly from the dvd recorder do you mean your trying to record what your watching and also is it cable tv or sky you want to recodr also what make and model of dvd is it

  • Anonymous Apr 15, 2008

Depending on what you want to record you need to change the channel or input on the dvd recorder to the correct one if your recording from sky or cable then you need to have the sky or cable wired into the dvd recorder then a cable from the dvd recorder going iinto the telly so this lets you watch the sky or cable.
Ok so the sky or cable needs to be in the input in back of dvd recorder then output from dvd into input on telly.
    Let me know ok

What kind of connection (wire) are you using to connect the DVD player to the TV? Is it composite (RCA, yellow), component (3X RCA, blue, red, green), S-video (Mini-DIN, like a computer keyboard or mouse connector), DVI (Like a wider computer monitor connector), HDMI (Wider and thinner but like a USB connector)?

Is the TV PAL or NTSC? The symptom you are experiencing is what would happen if you are trying to play back a NTSC signal on a PAL TV or vica versa. If you have a scart connection on theTV then use a scart lead to connect from the DVD player to the TV. Set the DVD player for RGB output which is independent of PAL & NTSC.

Getting a dvd player to record vhs to dvd

The RF converter takes the Red/White/Yellow as INPUTS and converts them to either channel 3 or 4. You need to go the other way. You need a tuner or another VCR to convert from RF (channel 3 or 4) to a standard AV signal (Red/White/Yel).
