Im not sure what you mean by track but i think they can be replaced with a soldering iron. might be a better idea to take it to a professional?

Usb connector broke off

The + and - are the 2 outside pads on the USB plugs, one will be a thicker track than the rest and should be +5 volts, the other side will of course be 'ground' and is normally the broad copper strips on the pcb that go all the way round. If you're lucky it's a single layer double-sided PCB and the + and - connections may be on opposite sides of the board, if you're unlucky it's a multi-layer PCB that has extra tracks underneath the visible ones, they are impossible to repair i'm afraid. If you have a multimeter it's much easier to trace the power tracks, just don't short anything with the probes, choose a part of the track that's not too crowded.Switch on, locate the + and - and mark them with black & red markers, then switch off asap.
Always touch something earthed like a radiator etc before handling the pcb, this minimises static damage. Hope this helps, good luck!

Carefully open the remote controller unit and look inside for possible failure of the carbon pads or the remote control PCB tracks. So first of all open to clean the padds and the pcb then check specially on the volume controller pads, use old pads to be stuck on or carbon dots that are available for repairing remote controllers.Repeat this for the program pads. If the fault does not clear then look into the PCB section of the volume tracks and program tracks and use a carbon pen to make the tracks prominent. Hope this works. Good day

PSP joystick messed up

Okay This has happen to me and what it is the joystick is off track. I'm not saying you guys are handling your psp roughly but it does happen. You can try to repair the joystick yourself.

But the best bet is to buy a new one. Doesn't cost much and it is not hard to do. I paid $3 for a replacement. Word of advice if you are buying a generic brand you may want to buy at least three of then just in case one or more of them are doa (dead on arrival) you never know. Will save to time in returning and waiting for a replacement.

If you want please ask and I will post a how to for repair of your OEM joystick. This doesn't always work but what the hell it's worth a shot.

Cluster PCB

sorry i don't have a photo yet, but what i did was remove a small section of the laquer from the track on the PCB about 1/2 inch away from the plug socket, then pre-tinned & soldered a small insulated wire (small speaker wire, only 1 part of the figure 8 cable) from the bottom right plug track (common pos for the warning lights) to the solder joint @ the lower end of the under PCB link that goes to the bottom left screw fitting of the tacho, this bypassed the crack in the PCB,
if there is "NO" burn marks & it is only a cracked track you will-not have any problem in bypassing the crack with a small wire, or even running a small solder track along the PCB track, just remember to remove the laquer, kind regards waz

Psp broken off/ on switch

Hello Andy,

Have you checked that you have not accidently shorted any tracks also as the tracks are so fine has any more damage to the board been caused by the impact?

I had the same problem with my dishwasher. The fault is because the water is not heating but in the majority of cases I would bet that the problem is not with the element but with a burnt out track on the control PCB. I was advised by a zanussi dealer that this track being repaired will not fix the problem indefinately but looking at the PCB the track which burnt out is just the 240V live and switched live from the relay, therefore replacing the track (solder some wire where the track was to the pins of the relay) should fix the problem indefinately.

I have successfully repaired my machine, it has been working for a couple of weeks so far with no problems. A couple of tips:-

1. The relay/tracks in question are beside the two separate connectors at one side of the PCB close to the big 12V relay (it should be obvious as there should be scorch marks)

2. If the two separate connectors above are swapped on reinstallation it will appeaqr that there is no power so before removal of the wiring take a note (or picture) of orientation of the wires.

3. Do not attempt this if you are not comfortable working with mains voltages and ensure that all power to the appliance has been disconnected before dismantling.

4. To ensure a good solder joint clean the area before resoldering with switch cleaner, or just scrape any residue away if no switch cleaner/ IPA is available.

Good luck, let me know if this fixes your problem.
