SIM2 HT5000 projecter gets on from standby button lamp is on and blue LED comes on after the initialisation process. But no Menu appears on screen no source image or picture appears

on the screenPower is on, lamp is on and blue LED is also on but there is no image on the screen
There may be several reasons for this issue. The most likely cause is an issue with the connections. Check all connections from the projector to the source device and to the screen to make sure they are connected properly and securely.
If the connections are not the issue, then there may be an issue with the internal components of the projector. You should contact the manufacturer or authorized service center and have them diagnose the issue.

Vertical blue lines onscreen on the right side . Happens no matter what input including menu.. they appear over the menu . It's a Toshiba regza.

Vertical lines on an lcd screen are caused from the solder joints on the edge of the lcd panel coming loose. You can verify this by pressing on the edge of the screen above the lcd and the lines vanish. The fix is to either wedge something behind to hold pressure on it, solder it (which is difficult to do) or replace the screen.

Reboot to factory settings for Dell

Try This:

If your operating system is XP, press the CTRL and F11 keys simultaneously when you see the Dell logo after turning on the laptop, and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • Put the computer on.
  • When the Dell screen appears, press and hold the CTRL and F11 key simultaneously on the keyboard, then release them both at the same time. The Dell PC Restore by Symantec window appears.
  • Click the Restore button or press the key to highlight Restore and press the key.

A caution message appears, advising that all data will be lost.
  • Click the Confirm button, or press the key to highlight Confirm and press the key.

The Progress window appears. Once the process has begun, Dell PC the restore usually takes only 8 to 10 minutes to complete. When the restore is complete, the message 'The system recovery process was successful' appears.
  • Click the Finish button or press the key to highlight Finish and press the key.

The computer will restart.
For Vista or Win 7
If your operating system is VISTA / Win 7, press the F8 key when you see the Dell logo. It will take you to the advanced boot menu options, which include 'Repair your Computer'. Select that option and enter your password if asked, then you will see a list of options like 'system restore' and 'command prompt'. The last option says 'Dell PC restore', or something along those lines. Select that option and follow the instructions on the screen.
If in both cases, the Factory default doesn't work, then your laptop's factory image defaults partition has vanished (i.e., been corrupted / deleted). In this case you will have to reinstall the operating system with the CD or DVD shipped along with the laptop. Follow the link below to install windows XP Pro on your own.
  • Start the computer.
  • As the computer starts, press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
  • Press the down arrow to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, then press Enter.
  • Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.
  • Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.
  • Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
  • In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.
  • Click to select the check box for Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition.
  • Click Next. The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.
  • When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.

In both cases, if the factory default does not work, then your laptop's factory image defaults partition has vanished (i.e. been corrupted / deleted). In this case you will have to reinstall the operating system with the CD or DVD shipped along with the laptop. Follow the below link to install windows XP Pro on your own.

Good Luck!

Viewsonic VG2021m Image Vanishes on Start Up

Hello,

It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display screen goes blank after a few seconds, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Redeye

Red-eye is actually caused by the light from the flash bouncing off the back of the retina and picking up the color red from the blood vessels. To correct this effect, follow these steps: Turn the mode dial to PlayBack Mode (green arrow) and display the image with redeye. Press OK\Menu button. Using the arrow pad, navigate to MODE MENU>EDIT>REDEYE FIX. Press the right arrow key, START will display. Press OK\Menu After {BUSY} bar displays, a screen will display with an option to cancel or save the image. ? If the option [Go] is displayed, press the OK\Menu button. This saves a corrected version of the image. ? If the option CANCEL is displayed, than the camera was unable to correct the image. Press the left arrow key to exit. This correction may not work on all pictures. If you import the original image into Olympus Master software you can also apply the Red-Eye fix located in the Edit menu. This lets you precisely pinpoint the eye area and remove the red. It even lets you remove green or blue, which can occur with animals.
