TV/Game mode appearing as Dock

Since I had some power outage, the connection to the TV is acting weird. They used to be completely in sync but it doesn't appear as TV/Game; I tried taking out everything and plugging everything back in. I have both HDMI and analog connection in.

How do you connect ipad to computer

To help you connect your ipad to the computer, please follow the step-by-step instructions given below:
- Turn both the computer and iPad ON before connecting.
- Plug the iPad's docking port into the appropriate end of the dock connector-to-USB cable.
- Plug the USB end of the iPad's dock connector-to-USB cable into an open USB port on your desktop. If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open the program to sync files and apps between the devices.
- Do not disconnect while the iPad is syncing or the sync won't complete.
- Remove either end of the cable to disconnect your iPad from the PC.
- After the first connection, you may choose to connect the two via Wi-Fi so you don't need to use the cable.
- Using iTunes, you can sync your audio, video, photos, apps and documents. This lets you transfer important files and apps you use for your business between your iPad and computer.

Menu/option screen will not show

Jay, this is a weird message to get, but not uncommon. This only pops up for 2 reasons. First, if you did a reset to your system or added/replaced the hard drive(HDD) Second, if the system is having trouble recognizing the controller. Remember, the controllers for the PS3 are "Bluetooth" and has to sync with the system like all other "Bluetooth" devices, but can be wired and act like the old school controllers. It commonly asks you to connect the controller if you do a startup in "safe mode". If you did a reset, or installed a new HDD, then it may put you automatically in the "Safe mode" menu, where you HAVE to wire the controller. Good luck! Hope this helps. ^^

How to connect wii fit board to the wii

Important Note!
Do Not use "One-Time Mode" sync.
Syncing can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console. The Wii Balance Board may need to be synced to each compatible game individually. Some games may require you to go into a specific screen to sync the Wii Balance Board. These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.

1. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.
2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
5. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.
6. Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.
7. The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.8. Replace the battery cover and return the board to the normal operating position.

I can't get my remotes to sync with the console.

Connecting a controller to the Xbox 360 is one of those things that should be simple but always ends up confusing and difficult.

Wired is simple; just plug in the controller into a USB slot on the console. It should connect automatically.

For a wireless controller you do the following:
1. Turn on the Xbox 360.
2. Press center Xbox button on 360 controller.
3. Press the small "sync" button on the console.
4. Press the small "sync" button on the controller quickly after step 3.
Of course I never remember the order, so randomly mashing the Xbox button and sync buttons eventually works too. Here's a link to how to sync, but with pictures!

If you're using the Xbox 360 Universal Media remote, I believe it uses an IR (infrared) connection so there is no syncing involved. To use it you just need to point it at the Xbox 360 console (specifically, it's IR receiver). Just make sure the batteries in the remote aren't dead and that the remote is in 360 mode (as opposed to TV mode; just press the "TV" button to toggle modes).

Wii hand will not show up we tried syncing, taking out batteries, unplugging and plugging sensor bar and nothig works

Synchronizing the Wii Remote with the Wii Console Synchronizing the Wii Remote to a Wii console allows the Wii Remote to communicate with the console. The Wii Remote included with your system should already be synchronized to your console. However, all additional Wii Remotes you use with your system also need to be synced in order to function properly..
There are two different modes of synchronizing (syncing):
  • STANDARD MODE - The Standard Mode procedure is used when adding additional Wii Remotes to your system or if you want to re-synchronize your original Wii Remote. Once synchronized, the Wii Remote will stay synced to the console unless you overwrite the settings by syncing the remote to a different console. For instructions on Standard Mode syncing, please click here.

  • ONE TIME MODE - This mode allows you to temporarily use your remote on a Wii console other than your own, or to use a friend's remote on your console. It can also be used to change the order of the Wii Remotes, without the need to turn off the Wii console. One Time Mode does not delete the Standard Mode setting stored in the Wii Remote. In this mode, the Wii Remote will only communicate with the Wii console while the power is on. When the power is turned off, the Wii Remote will lose its sync with the Wii Console. For instructions on One Time Mode setup, please click here.
Note: Only a Wii Remote in Standard Mode can turn the Wii console power ON or OFF.
    Standard Mode Synchronization
Note: Make sure you have placed batteries in the Wii Remote (how to).
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).
  5. wiiremotesynchstandard.gifThis procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.
Go to the Next Step (Playing Game Discs) >

One Time Mode SynchronizationNote: This mode temporarily removes Standard Mode synchronization setup for all Wii Remotes until the power of the Wii console is turned off. When the power is turned back on again, the Standard Mode settings will return.
  1. Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the Wii console.
  2. installation.gif
  3. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.
  4. homesmall.gif
  5. Select the Reconnect Option.
  6. wiiremotesynchotm1.gif
  7. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines the player order (1 through 4) for multiplayer games. The Player LED will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the connection is complete.

We had a power outage and now our Maytage Gemeni stove won't go back on. Can't test the outlet, of course, since it's that weird huge plug, but all the other electricity is fine. The oven is completely...

Hi!!
Check breaker box for a tripped Double Breaker, probably 30A, If breakers are OK, unplug unit from wall outlet and wait 15 min. to reset the control board, plug unit it back up and check Range. You can check for power at the outlet using a voltmeter set on the AC mode.
Keep me posted!!

Green battery light on the archos 5 but when i disconnect it from dock or usb no green lights abd completely dead - won't switch on either in dock or out???

Power green LED light should come on, CHG green LED light should also come on showing the battery is being charged. Leave your unit in Suspend mode while charging it, DO NOT turn it completely off as "Shutting Down.." because it will not charge your battery.

I just purchased an almost new Archos 5 on eBay recently, and the first day I had it, happened to me that I left the unit off and charging on the Mini Dock with external AC power supply, after 13-14 hours the CHG light still wasn't blinking. Then I though maybe I have to leave the unit in Suspend mode rather than completely off, which I did, and in a matter of 3 hours it fully charged the battery.

Again, do not shut down completely the unit, leave it on Suspended mode, or even on, and connected it to your mini dock, after a while the screen will go blank the unit will go into Suspended mode by itself, and after 3 hours on external power supply or 8 hours via USB on PC should be completely charged and your CHG light should be blinking, indicating the battery is charged.

I hope this helped.

Turning on TV after power outage

Not sure what you mean by "older", but I assume it's a CRT display. It takes some time for a picture tube to come up from a completely cold start. It has to get all of those electrons hot enough to start flying around, and also build up a high voltage on the screen. You don't notice it in normal operation because the power button doesn't really turn everything off, but just puts the set in standby mode. Unplugging, though, lets everything cool off completely.

If you're talking real antiques, with tube-type amplifiers, then the warmup time could be even longer. I remember as a kid watching the blank screen for a couple of minutes before a picture appeared.

What you describe sounds like normal behavior for a CRT television. Not sure what's up with that flickering red light, though.
