Dishwasher starts up and then stops after a while giving Error Code F5

check the wash pump is working, to do a test put top and bottom spray arms in a straight line so both are faceing the door and turn on if spray arms are still in same place then it might be the wash pump, if the arms don't move you need to test for power to wash pump and test wash pump

Water is no pumping in but the pump is working

It would help if the dishwasher model was provided.

I am assuming your dishwasher wash pump is operating but the water is not circulating through the wash arms.

If there is water sitting in the dishwasher then most likely there is some blockage in the wash arm system. But if there is no water then the water inlet may be faulty.

Starts ok wrench appears heats ok wash cycle pressure strong at first then fades wrench appears -p2 -cleaned screens and checked spray arms .incoming water pressure 20 psi whats wrong ?

Check the spray arm. Machine water pump. After this pump pressure
builds up to the spray arm. Rubber hosejunction inside the wash tub.
This place gets connected to the spray arm system.
You can see this when you draw the tray for loading vessels.
Slowly push it and watch the junction where this gets locked into the
rubber hose mouth inside the wash tub. There should not be any
water pressure leak.

Water not pumping through wash arms

It would be helpful to know the model no. of your dishwasher.

I few things to check
1. is the water getting into the unit - tap on etc.
2. are the spray arms free of debris - remove and clean the holes
3. do you hear the arms rotate when unit is turned on.
4. how do you know the water is not pumping through the arms

Hopefully we can diagnose the problem for you.

Top rack does not wash dishes.

Possible causes of spray arm inefficiency:
Loading large or tall items in the lower basket which stops the arm revolving.
Upper spray arm split along seam.
Upper spray arm blocked.
Under dosing of powder causing foam and reducing upper spray arm water pressure.
Blocked strainers reducing water to circulating pump, therefore reducing upper spray arm water pressure.
inefficient wash motor impellor (faulty)

WASHING ARMS NOT ROTATING, ITEMS NOT BEING CLEANED. IS THE PUMP WORN OUT?

Please post the model number of your dishwasher here.

I am not familiar with the HorPoint Aquarius dishwasher, but if it is a newer, water conserving, energy saving model, it ~might~ have a check valve that switches/alternates the water from the lower to the upper rack (Other manufactures do this, including LG.)

I know you think I am nuts, but your problem ~may~ not be the wash arm. It really sounds like your heating element is not working, which then does not get the detergent powder up to the high temp it needs to activate the cleaning ability.

Also, buy a box of name brand detergent powder and use it rather that an ultra-cheap box. It really does make a difference with dishwasher detergent.

Good Luck!

Please post back here with what you find, OK?

Dishes not being washed

Check your wash arms are they clogged. If you have too much trash in the machine you may have clogged your wash arms. OR you may have a screen in the bottom of the tub that is clogged with trash not allowing your pump to pum the water adequately. The last possibility, is your pump impala is damaged or worn out and not pumping water. The wash arms and screen you can do. Call a repair man if that doesn't take care of the problem

Yes there is the Water Div valve, it diverts the water between the wash arms.

The top tray of our Indesit DI620 isn't washing properly. I suspect that the spray arm isn't squirting water, it isn't impeded by badly stacked crockery. I can't work out how to detach it so that I can...

If you want to see if water is getting to the upper spray arm you can open the door while it's washing for a quick look before it stops or if you can manually press in the door latch with the door open you'll get a good look. You'll also get water in your face. It's probably a pump problem. The vanes in the pump can get damaged which means the pump can't push the water to the upper arm.

No pressure to drive swing arm.

Check first that no debris is blocking the holes in the spray arm where the water comes out, and clean out the holes. In case it will not solve your problem, it's look like a pump problem (the pump has two functions : drive water to the spray arms and to drain water out the washer). Open the rear panel and listen if the pump works during the wash cycle. In case it doesn't work, it should be replaced. Good luck !
