Broken key pad on nokia e63

i expect that some of the digit in that particular cellphone is not working. if you want to clean your key pad then you need to open it. removed the battery cover, the battery, back cover, untill you see the 6 screws that holds the front cover. Removing the screw will automatically remove the front cover and will show you the key pad. if you want to check the digit which is not working then you fix the battery and holding it firmly press the power On button. assuming that you already know what digit is not working then you can proceed by removing the plastic cover of the keypad and by using pencil eraser you can clean it.. from 0 - 9....

All the E series phone have an sensor which detects low light and make the lights on of keypad.i have nokia e63 which does the same thing. keypad light cannot be kept on with any setting

Just Follow these steps
- Remove the cover(housing) and check keys by pressing the cells - If the problem is same as earlier, remove the mylar pad layer and clean it fully (Including malfunctioned keys) - get small flat screwdriver and short the keypad sensing points - and check whether that malfunctioned keys are working. - if working Clean the miler pad. - if not you need to change the keypad esd filter (Keypad IC)

may be keypad is locked or change de setting in phone... or change de keypad in NOKIA showroom??

Press Left top blue key then left lower first button for unlock the key pad.

On the phone keypad, press *#06# this will display the IMEI no. of the unit.

remove the back cover .. then remove the front cover. it will bw really tight check for the points from where it is inserted into the body.. whn u get the front coer out. take out the key pad and replace it

all the keypad or the main only or the menu or even the volume and camera key
before any thing remove the ( memory card )and do formatting *#7370#and 12345 or your lock code if not test this
1-if the main key pad 2 sol.1st try another ui(user interface )
2nd the filter on the mb beside the key pad con.(z2400)the manual of n81
2- the menu please check under the cover and under the do-mme sheet if there is any water or short if not change the main fpc and then the second step like before
3-Please check if there is any stuck key

only 1- press on up right botton
2- press on down right botton
that's all

change keypad first- solder broken tracks in the main board near direction of keypad address lines.
