Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Connect the charger (don't connect the battery yet) and try to start by pressing the power button.

Let me know if everything remain same.

My Dell Inspiron laptop won't power up. There are no lights AT ALL. It worked when I left for holiday. I have bought a new AC/DC power unit: just the same. The green light comes on when I plug the AC/DC...

If the light on the A/C adapter "goes out" when you connect it to the Laptop... then your motherboard is bad.

Your motherboard is "shorting out" the A/C adapter, in which case you will need a new motherboard.

Sorry....

My motherboard pc chips m925g v9.1b have a trouble

The best thing to do is strip down your motherboard down to just the cpu. Power it up and see if it will power up okay. Then start adding things back on, starting with your memory. If you have more than one memory stick, put one in at a time. You will keep doing this until you find the part that stops the system from booting. That will tell you what part is not working.

Configuration

Hi

The wires that read +5 -d +d and ground those are USB connectors each usb connector will have 4 wires, +5 -d +d and ground so that goes to usb pins.

The sw must be power switch
The HDD led is the load light
Reset is the reset button
Power led is the front power light
SPK is the speaker / beeper.

Can you tell me the brand and model of the motherboard? They are documented in the user manual. but generally in the bottom right corner of the motherboard you have the connectors for the leds and buttons, its all written into the motherboard with small white text. but I can get clear instructions from the user manual for you.

You can look for the motherboard details between the expansion slots and between the cpu and memory.

Thanks,
Ekse

Toshiba Satellite M30 PSM30A-OQRM1P no go

I solved my problem by sticking a piece of cardboard just beneath the motherboard, don't worry if it causes the motherboard to bend upwards a little. Its been working very well for the past couple hours straight. I explain it a little in this video.

This works if you find yourself pressing down on some spots on the laptop/chassis/mobo just to get it to power up. This method also repaired my old IPOD when it was having trouble with its PCB.

E-Machines 2862 Dead On Power-Up

I believe that the front button is not connecting to the switch for the power supply. Also make sure all internal connections are secure. Sometimes the button breaks from behind so that it cannot contact the switch. Let me know if it helps. There are other solutions if you tried this one first.

Does not power up

I think you've done a good trouble shooting job, and proved that the board is dead.
