Question about TruTech TT320

1 Answer

TruTech Malfunction! I was in the middle of watching a film & the dvd just froze, which has happened on occasion, however when I took dvd out to clean it and play again the Trutech stopped reading the disc.  I've tried various other dvd's in case it was an issue with just that particular disc and same thing happened.   It stays on 'loading' and after a while just reads 'no disc'. Have only had it a year..any advice??   There's no customer service tech contact??...

I have had the TruTech TT320 for about two years, and most recently, my player has caused the DVD picture to freeze. While it freezes, the player makes a loud, grinding noise!!! I have the feeling that I should just throw the damn device into the trash, but need to know if there is something I can do beforehand.

You could try using a laser lens cleaner.

Radio Shack makes one called "Carbonedge"
The RS catalog # is 42-209.

Whatever you do do NOT take the unit apart and try to clean the laser lens by hand. It is easily damaged.

Ps3 not reading discs!

If you keep on getting this problem you will need to send it in to get it fixed, or you can actually readjust the laser from home.
To do this you can use a good repair guide.

I'd say put an audio cd in an see if it reads it if not you may be able to get a dvd cleaner which is a disc that will clean your player internally. Hope this helps

Movies on my recorded discs freeze after a few minutes of play

Sometimes this unit gets "confused" - not sure why -- but try first using a CD cleaning disk and let it start and stop a couple times (sometimes lens gets dirty and does this) - if that doesn't help then try unplugging unit and leave unplugged (from wall socket) for about 30min then plug in, set local time and then see if the disks play okay - sometimes this "resets system"
