My c309a HP photosmart premium says (ink system failure) 0xc19a0036 i have already done every that unit has asked me to do and even the on line help line. But still it's not printing. help

Have you reset the Machine? If not, follow the instructions;
Remove the cartridges, disconnect the usb, switch off, unplug the power chord, leave it off for few minutes. Again switch it On without the cartridges installed and without usb cable connected to it, press the power button several times while it boots up, and leave it on for few minutes, again shut it down using the power button and install the cartridges, connect the usb cable and restart your printer. This will fix your problem if there isn't internal/system failure/faulty.

    I did this and it worked but then only printed three pages and the fault was back again

    Lift the lid, wait till the print head centres switch off at the outlet, remove the cartridges, remove the printhead (lever on right side, clean the electrical conections with a electrical points cleaner (not watyer) or very gently with the rubber eraser end of a pencil - reassemble, plug in and wait for machine to go thru an initial installation. It may complain about switching off incorrectly and used cartridges etc.

I bought a new hp C309 printer today and I cannot get it to work. It gives a Ink System Failure - 0xc19a0036 error. I have removed the ink cartridges twice and made sure they were properly vented and...

  1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
    NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon (c01424575.gif ). Figure 2: Example USB connection (your product might not look exactly the same as this example)c01651067.gif
  2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
  3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  5. Wait 60 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button (c01602202.gif ).
  7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
  8. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
  9. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
Solution two: Service the product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

There is a characteristic problem with these models and others that use that ink, that the part of the carrier that delivers the ink to the printhead cracks. There is no real solution, because there are no parts available for ANY HP ink printer. It's time for a new one. HP's solution is to `upgrade' you.... Wanna buy another HP???

Ink Failure on HP photosmart premium C309g printer

Turn off the machine, unplug the power cord from the back of the machine, remove the ink cartridges (lift the lid up at the base of the control panel), wait 2 min, plug the power cord back in, press the on button, wait until the printer prompts that the ink cartridges are missing, then replace the ink cartridges. If this doesn't fix the problem you may have to re-prime the ink lines to clear the error.
