Ok I need my bike broke the other day ! The battery is not charging, grounds are good and its a new battery! how do I troubleshoot the alternator or the voltage reg to find out who is giving me the problem

Hey debbie hows napolean? start with the battery bud new don't mean a thang it could be bad off da shelf right. check it and cables and connections for goodness then get a regulator and slap it on there cuz it only 50 sumpin dolla and the alty is buried in the primary and hardly ever ever ever go bad within 8 years unless you got a 'katrina bike' which i didnt know there was a katrina bike you can check the alty for output and all but the meter cost you and a spare reg never hurt no one and they are right thur in the front in the wind catchin the water and everyting and don't forget the cables can look good and be bad just like me!
