The battery warning light comes on after battery is charged. bought new battery same problen cannot use as is what do i do buy a cannon

Probably internal component failure. Repair will be costly.

The battery light comes on when the charging system is not operating correctly also .
so check the alternator and wiring from it for defects could also be a slipping drive belt for the alternator

This sounds like a bad alternator , maybe it charges at times and other times it does not, check connections to battery and at alternator, also make sure all fuse are good.

Same problem I also having on my s4150 model.. First I get the problem on the 10th day of the purchase.. and then i have sent my to nikon service center 3 times for the same problem.. Nikon people are saying Battery does not come under warranty.. you have to buy the new battery..

The alternator is most likely the problem here.The alternator has a diode out in the diode bridge,and is causing the light to come on,this is a warning that the alternator is failing,and needs to be replaced,this could cause the battery to discharge over night,and it will not charge correctly.

The Charger that comes with the cam is said to go faulty 99% of the times. I too was shocked to see my cam in the dead condition. Checked a few things on the multimeter and found the charger to be faulty, tried replacing the charger with power supply that i designed for 8.4Volts output and the cam was back to life and started charging.!!! I would just go buy another battery charger pack. They are like 75 dollars to buy. Sounds like yours might have a short in it!

I have the Cobra Microtalk 4100 FRS radios with charging base. After changing the batteries with new nimh rechargables the charge light would not illuminate and the unit would not charge. I noticed the original batteries had a metal band around one end. This band makes a small connection inside the battery compartment on the first battery. Seems to be a cheap way to ensure you dont try to recharge the unit with non-rechargable batteries installed. I rapped a small piece of tinfoil around one end of the first battery in the new set then popped it back in and now they will charge correctly again. Dont try this with non-rechargable batteries! I would recomend buying original replacement batteries.

Nokia 8800 has the worst battery ever. Its a known issue. You need to have your phone flashed at a nokia service center, and get the new 8800 battery which ships on the 8800 sirocco BL6X.

I had the same problem after buying a new dvd from bestbuy.

although this may sound wierd, but check if you have a battery in there, since its coming without it inside.

maybe you bought it without a battery.
