Logitech Webcam / Quickcam V - UAP9 does not work with Windows 7 for Yahoo Messenger. Need driver to resolve this problem.

Sir , I have Logitech webcam M/N : V-UAP9 P/N : 861170-0000 P/D : LN60382 Made in china, this is not working in windows7, can you solve this problem, If you please send me the solution.

I have checked out both the links you suggested. These are packages of drivers for which I will have to shell out $ 20 OR $ 35, without knowing whether it is going to work or not.

On the other hand a new Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 is available at $20 in stores. And it is known to work with Windows 7 without any installation problem.

Logitech doesn't support the V-UAP9 Quickcam Express anymore. Latest official drivers are for Windows XP only. I've modified a driver for this webcam that works fine in Win7. Should also work with Vista, but i haven't tested that yet due to the lack of a computer running it. Not sp*m and not a v*rus. i was just p*ssed off by that "go buy a new one" attitude from the logitech guys on their forum. Also, posting hacked drivers there gets your post deleted and account banned. Great job logitech -.-

windows might yell at you that it isn't signed by MS (or something like that) , but thats due to me "hacking" it to get it to work, so just click "install anyways".

PS: don't fall for the "bioticaindia" links that show up in google. that's a spam page that wants you to fill out surveys to get the download links (including giving out your cellphone number to be spammed by sharecash)..
