There is a "RESET" icon next to the warning light. See the tiny hole? Get a small toothpick or something similar and simply insert, push, and watch the annoying light go out!

I just replaced my filter for the winix 5300 model and the replace filter indicator does not seem to turn off. Are there any solutions or procedures as to how i should go about this matter?

Remove the front cover and locate the FILTER RESET button below the DUST SENSOR level display indicator lights. Press and hold this button for 3 seconds until the unit beeps and the REPLACE FILTER indicator light goes out.

Replace air filter warning light to reset?

1. Plug unit into outlet. 2. Press power ON/OFF switch to the ON position. 3. Allow unit to start running at low speed. 4. PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons until the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR starts to blink. 5. Release both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons. 6. While the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR is still flashing, again PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons untile the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR turns off.

If the steps above have been performed properly, the Filter Replacement Indicator will turn offand not flash again for 11 months. If the Filter Replacement Indicator remains on, repeat the steps again.
*Note that in step 6 above, the Filter Replacement Indicator MUST still be flashing when the buttons are pressed the second time. The Filter Replacement Indicator will continue to flash for approximately 3 seconds after the buttons are released as required in step 5 above.

Lights still flashing after i replaced filter

You have to press the reset button on some models. The unit does not have any way of knowing you reset the filter -- you have to tell it.

Red filter light still on-

ok i'm not finding that model anywhere in my system. but one way you can try is look in your manual under troubleshooting. if you have gone through all of the troubleshooting. the best thing that i can suggest is call the manufacturer. if your still under warranty they should be able to replace the unit foryou.

Kenmore air purifier- model 85500

Power Off the unit then Press and HOLD the Off-Timer and Function buttons at the same time WHILE Powering the unit back On. The Replace Filter light will blink for 5 seconds than go out. Now you can release the the buttons.

Just to make sure everything is working fine power off and on the unit.

On a side note if you are a tight wad like me you may want to just smak the filter layers against the ground a few times to clean them and re-use them / make them last longer. When the replace fileter light comes on too often then it is time to replace the filter.

No worries ;o)

Hunter 730 carbon pre-filter replacement orange light

Filter lights on your Air Purifier http://www.fastbrowser.net/netpicker/Filter-lights-on-your-Airifie.htm One of the best things about your IQAir Air Purifier is that it has warning lights to tell you when to change the prefilter, gas or hepa filters. Of course how long they last depends on your pattern of usage. For the initial 80% of the filter life the control panel will display a green light next to the corresponding filter on the outline of the unit. When the orange light goes on it does not mean that the filter needs to be replaced immediately but that there is 20% of useful life left. IQAir gives you plenty of time and the machine will tell you how many hours you have left. Once the number of hours gets to within a few hours remaining the orange light will then change to red. It is at this time you should change the filter. If you forget to change it and there are no hours left the hours will go into the negative displaying how many hours you have gone over and the red light will change to a flashing red light.

Just in case you have lost the manual like one of our customers, this is how you reset the filter lights:
1. Press the menu button ( 7 times) until you get to where the display says new filter.
2. Press the enter button and hold it down for 3 seconds and a number 1 will be flashing after the words new filter on the display. This flashing number is so you can enter which filter you have changed. Filter number 1 is the pre-filter, filter number 2 is the V-5 gas filter, and filter number 3 is the Hepa filter.
3. You change the number for the filter by pressing the up arrow button.
4. Once you reach the correct filter number you press the enter button and the control panel will display a question mark after the words new filter on the display. Below this it will say, E = Yes M = Cancel. If you wish to cancel the entry so it does not reset a new filter life, simply press the Menu button.
5. If you want it to reset the filter life for the changed filter, simply press the Enter button. Once this is done, the filter light will change back to the green light, which will show the filter has been changed. If you go to the remaining filter life on the control panel for the filter number you just changed, you will now see the remaining life of the filter in hours has been reset.

Replace Filter Indicator Will Not Turn Off

I owned the previous model of the same unit with the hole for the paperclip. But it wore out and I replaced it with the HAP422 and found the same issue; no hole to "reset" the light. I was just fooling with it and determined that "some" switch would reset it and finally held the power on button on for a few seconds, after which, the red light flashed and then went out. Problem solved. BUT THERE IS NOT ONE WORD IN THE MANUAL TO TELL YOU THIS! WHY NOT?
