On my new Victoronox 24332, the sweep hand for the stop watch does not reset to zero but rather to about 17 seconds past '12' O'clock. The split second hand also stops just past Zero on...

Follow the instructions on the following link. I believe it works on all or most Swiss quartz chronographs. Worked like a charm for my Mondaine and my Zodiac. Hope it works for you too.

The sweep hands don't align back to zero after replacing battery

Pull out the stem to the second position then push the chronograph start/stop button a few times to move the minute hand to the zero position. Then pull the stem out to the 3rd position and adjust the second hand again by pushing the start/stop (top) button to move it to the zero position. Once you get them both to top zero push the stem back all the way and screw it in tight. Tim

The second hand on my invicta chronograph watch doesn't reset to zero

Easier than you think.
Pull your Crown out to the FIRST stop (were you would normally set your date). Push the "A" button (top chrono button) for your dial at the "3 oclock" area, Push the "B" button(bottom chron button) for the second hand.

The second hand does not zero out on the stop watch

Pull the crown out to the first or second setting position then press and hold down the start button for the chronograph. This should begin to move the sweep arm. Stop when it is in the correct position.

This can vary just slightly between brands but is generally the same.

With "The Producer" Nixon watch, can you reset the main stopwatch hand to zero? It resets to +4 second position.

Pull out the crown to the first or second set position then press and hold down the start button. The sweep arm should begin to move into the right position. Once it is at 12:00 or 0 release the button and press the crown back in.

Re-set quartz chronograph sweeping second hand

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C

I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.

Sweep 2nd hand operation & watch time setting on my Pulsar watch.

The larger second hand on the Pulsar PF8036 is part of the stopwatch feature. The upper button starts/stops the stopwatch feature, and the lower button operates the lap/reset function. Why they made the larger hand work only with the stopwatch instead of the smaller hand to the left is beyond me, but that's how it is designed.
