All radio, cd tape function buttons on 98 explorer stopped working

just removing ur radio would cause this (ive had mine out a dozen times) make sure all plugs and the antenna is plugged in snug, also you can try another compatible radio just to make sure from another ford (the two square connector style is refered to as the "world" plug)

I have a JVC KD-95 Cassette Deck. My left speaker Comes and goes lots of crackling. When I turn off the deck it crackles loudly then fades. my speakers work fine when using cd, radio etc.

Probably it's the playing head; must be damaged or worned out.. Accept fact; cassette players are outdated. make a listing of your favorite music and stat finding them on line.
By the way, even youtube rips are better quallity then thos cassette recors.

'99 Mercurary Tracer cassette player problems...

The cassette adapters are notorious for getting stuck in the deck. More often than not its the wire that comes out of it that causes it. The cleanest and safest way to remove the cassette adapter is to remove the radio, take off the top and "Help" it eject with your fingers or some narrow tool that may get behind it to push it forward and out. If you dont want to take the deck out of the dash, you can try pushing the eject button while manipulating the adapter wire, but I dont recommend it. Its just better to take the deck out. Good Luck
