I've got a Fujifilm F30. Since yesterday, its not working properly. When I take photos, it 'absorbs' too much light and indoor photos becomes really bright and outdoor photos becomes nearly white from brightness. And when I transfer the pictures to computer, it has minor lines accross the picture. The video mode seems to be unaffected. What is the problem and is it worth fixing ? Would like to fix it if I can as F30 is still considered one of the best compact camera Fuji has ever made ! Thanks.

Hi Yuri. Turn the camera on and go into the menu and find the reset. Reset it. This will take you back to original factory settings. Then try it out. If it is fixed great. If not take it to your local camera shop that does repairs. J.

I just loaded my new Fujifilm instax 210 for the first time with the correct film, loaded properly, and the prints are coming out black!

Well, black prints on an instant, or any camera, mean that they're unexposed. So, there are a few things to check - but in your case all will probably mean losing your remaining photos.

First, when you loaded the film, did you remove, or did the camera spit out, the initial black cardboard leader? If not, this is the source of your problem. This piece must come off the film pack first otherwise nothing else is going to work.

If that came out and you're still not getting photos, you're going to need to verify that you're both using the camera properly, and that the camera is functioning properly.

You'll need to be sure that you're getting enough light to get a good photo - darkness isn't going to give a good picture, but in some situations with some high speed films, neither is too bright of a condition. I've had this problem with my polaroid camera. The camera can't compensate for an extreme high-speed film and bright sunlight so it's not even giving an exposure. Don't ask me why, but it happens. If there's an option to change settings for outdoors/indoors, try that.

If that's also not your situation, you'll need to find a way to verify that the camera's shutter is actually opening and working properly. That's easier said than done, but if the other two situations don't help, feel free to contact for further assistance.

Not good photos indoors very grainy and bad light looking photos

Auto mode in poor lighting (generally always indoors without flash) sets high ISO, which produces ugly amount of noise (graininess). What you need is to keep the ISO under 200 by either:
Shooting well lit scenes, using flash etc.
or
Uusing one of the manual programs (M, S, A, P) and setting the sensitivity via the F-menu.

Pictures Readable on Camera, but NOT on computer

I found the solution to the problem. Connect the camera with the cord supplied. Do not open Finepix. Open Photoshop if you have it and go to file>import>via f31 or f30 and choose the pictures you want to import. Done !!!!!

Colour tone issues with Fujifilm Finepix S5700

It sounds like the sepia tone is most likely caused by the tungsten lights in a regular room. Without flash, the only source of illumination indoors is artificial light (unless window light is dominant). There is a way to color balance the camera to approximate sunlight through the manual settings. Look in the menus for "white balance". You'll need to take the camera off of the fully automatic settings first. Move the cursor up or down while looking at the image and you will see the color shift. when you find a color balance you like for that particular room's lighting conditions, hit the OK to lock it in the activated position. Remember to go back to "auto" white balance for most shooting, especially outdoors, or everything will take on a wierd color cast.
