When I try to set the time on my intex 8110 I can set the time & when I leave it for 10 minutes it always goes to flashing 94. Is there something wrong with the pump or maybe it's possible I'm missing a step?

That sounds really weird. There is no code 94

Try locking it manualy

hold down arrow till beep
now hold up arroe till beep
now with quick pushes set desired hours of run with up arrow
now hold till beep on down arrow then hold down on up arrow till beep
the unit is now locked and should start it could take upwards of 10 minutes
If all else fails you can call intex with a valid receipt up to 2 years of purchase and they will replace it
Hope this helps

Have no owners manual and can't figure out how to set the timer!

code 88

Is the Setup/Start up Code. it is displayed until you set the timer. which you do so by holding down the down arrow till you hear a beep, then hold down the up arrow till you here a beep. from there you can set the time and then to lock it in repeat the process

If you need the manual you can email Intex at www.email.intexstore.com
Or you can buy the manual on this link below.

Code 88

Plug the pump in. You will see code 88 which is normal. Press and hold the down button for 2 seconds until you hear a short beep. Then press and hold the up button for anohter 2 seconds until you hear a short beep and the LED flashes 00. Using the up button set the time to run based on the size of the pool which you did not list. Tell me the size and I will tell you how many hours to set on the timer. You can download an owner's manual here: http://pr-rp.pmra-arla.gc.ca/PR_SOL/pr_web.ve1?p_ukid=5143

Intex model 8110 shuts off after a few minutes when time is set

I had very similar symptoms with my 8110, however the Green LED would come on for approx. 1-second before the whole unit would appear to be dead. Watch yours carefully to see if the Green LED comes on for a second. If it does, part of the circuit monitors the electrolytic plates. If it detects a malfunction it shuts down. On my 8110 I found the following. Perhaps you have a similar issue.

On the circuit board there are two connections that go from the terminal strip to the electrolytic plates. The leads on the terminal strip are quite large and it appears when they originally soldered the terminal strip to the circuit board they did not apply enough heat. Over time the solder connection deteriorated and the connection became very resistive and generated enough heat at the solder joint that it finally failed. I cleaned the terminal strip lead and the corresponding pad on the circuit board and re-soldered the connection. While I was at it I went ahead and re-soldered all of the terminal strip leads.

After going thru the Start up set up our Intex

After setting the time did you remember to re-lock the keypad by pressing and holding the "down arrow" for 5-seconds until you hear a long beep and then the "up arrow" for 5-seconds until you hear a long beep? Several minutes later the Green LED should come on indicating the cycle has started.
