The problem may be your security settings. The Wii and PSP can access WiFi no matter what the security settings are if you have the key, but the DS can't access highly encrypted WEP security. Double check your security settings and then re-input your code.

In my pokemon white game i by accents erase nintendo wfc configuration and i forgot how to do it again so can you help me

To configure your internet options, go to the DS menu (the first screen you seen after turning of the DS). Select the System Settins option (the wrench icon), then scroll across 'till you find the Internet
choice. Select that and then Connection Settins. Choose Advanced Set Up then pick a connection.
If all connections display Set Up Complete , pick one and select the Connection Test. If there is an previously used Wifi hub or router within range, one of these connections should connect. If not, it will give you an error code that will help identify the problem.

If all the connections say None, then choose one and select Search For An Access Point. If all the connections are taken but none work, select one then choose Clear Settings. Then choose the connection that now says None and search for an access point. The DS will show a list of available access points; one should be your's. Select in and enter the security key and that should sort it. If your router or wifi hub isn't on the list, move closer to it or check it's working properly

How do i get internet on my nintendo DS

insert any game that has a wifi playing mode. attempt to start the wifi connection in the game, there should then be a wifi connection setting option. go into that. scan for an access point. then configure your router settings accordingly on the DS allowing it access to your router and then it should work! keep in mind that this is how you connect with a wireless router. this video might be more clear than my typing :)

The access point's security settings are not supported by the nintendo DS

This means you've got a WPA/2 security connection on your router/access point, whereas the Nintendo DS only supports WEP or open encryption.
You can:
1) change your security from WPA to WEP on your router
2) Purchase a used nintendo wifi stick
3) Set up a second router or access point with WEP security specifically for your DS

Web setup

With a Wi-Fi compatible game inserted into your Nintendo DS, access the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings screen. Your game manual provides information on how to do this for the game you are playing.
  1. Tap Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings
  2. Tap one of the Connection slots
  3. Tap "Search For An Access Point"

The Nintendo DS will then display the name of your wireless access point.
If your Access Point has a blue, unlocked icon, tap the Access Point name, and then 'OK.' The Nintendo DS will then establish a connection with your router. Back out to the main screen of your game and your ready to play online.

If your Access Point has a red, locked icon, the Nintendo DS has detected WEP key security on your router. Tap the Access Point name on the Nintendo DS and then enter the WEP key for your router on the following screen and tap 'OK' to save the settings.

Tap 'OK' again and the Nintendo DS will then establish a connection with your router. Back out to the main screen of your game and your ready to play online.

If your Access Point has a gray, locked icon, the Nintendo DS has determined your router's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS. In order to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you will need to either switch to WEP security, or remove the security setting of your router when connecting with the Nintendo DS.

How to get wifi

Hi. Please see procedure below:

  • When you try to connect your Nintendo DS on the internet, here are the steps that occur:
  • You choose the option "Search for access point".
  • The choices are given.
  • If the access point is in the form of a closed padlock gray, and the message "Security settings incompatible with the Ds" message, it means that your router is configured with security settings that the Nintendo DS does not support (WPA, WPA2, etc..).
  • The only solution is to configure your router to WEP because it is the only security that the console recognizes.

I have a nintendo ds and i have nintendo wifi but in gts it said ihad no connection and it sent me to this website help

    Hi,
You must either have broadband internet access and a wireless router or you can connect your Nintendo DSi at a hotspot, such as a library or coffee shop that offers internet access.
    1. Turn on your Nintendo DSi and click on the wrench icon. This will take you to the system settings.
    2. Go to page 3 and select "Internet".
    3. Click "Connection Settings".
    4. Click "None" to the right of "Connection 1".
    5. Click "Search for an Access Point".
    6. Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.
    7. If you are planning on playing games online with your Nintendo DSi and have WPA security, you will have to set your router to WEP security.
    8. To do this, get back to the "Connection Settings" screen mentioned in step 4.

      Click "Advanced Setup".

Click any button that says "none".

Click "Search for an Access Point".

Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.
    Thanks for using Fixya.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

We have wifi in our house and i cant seem to connect with my ds. what do i need to do?

Verify that you have the two items needed to connect your DS: a WiFi compatible DS game and a wireless router with WEP or less encryption. Sometimes the DS has trouble with more advanced router security.
Insert a WiFi compatible game into the Nintendo DS and access the wireless network options screen. Each game does this a little differently so check your manual if you have trouble finding it.
Use the options interface to set up a new wireless connection. Choose "Nintendo WiFi Connection Settings," then your first unused connection preset, then "Search for a Wireless Access Point." If everything is set up properly you should be able to find one and connect.
Look at the color of the padlock next to your connection name. Blue means you are ready to go, red means you need to supply a password to connect (common with most home routers) and gray means your router is using security that the DS doesn't understand.

    Pokemon wifi issue..cannot trade pokemon

If you have a wireless router for your internet you should have wifi in your house. To enable wifi on your nintendo ds. Insert the pokemon game and let it start up until you get to the main starter menu where it says New Game, Continue, Mystery Gift(If you unlocked it), and Nintendo WFC Settings. click the Nintendo WFC Settings than Nintendo WiFi- Connetion Settings. It will give you 3 tabs to set up your connections. If you already have 3, delete one
Once you click an empty one click Search for an Access Point, It should search for about 5-10 seconds than show you what connections you have and their names. Also an impotertant tip, If your internet router is locked you might want to get that key so you can enable the ds to use the internet otherwise it won't be able to connect.

Cant get wifi on my ds even with WEP key

The DS doesn't have the best WiFi signal.

Make sure you are close to your router for one.

Also check the WEP key as it may say the AP (access point) isn't there if the WEP is wrong.

Also some routers won't connect properly to the DS unless the IP,Gateway, and DNS are set manually.

If you choose to set the AP info manualy then you need to find the you AP's IP address.
Commonly this would be 192.168.1.1 however it varies from one brand to another or may be changed manualy.
Try these settins with the corrected IP adress number as the gateway.

IP Adress 192.168.1.152 (this is you'r DS IP adress. The 3rd digit should be the same as you gatway's 3rd digit. The fourth digit can be any number that isn't used on your network.

    Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

    Gateway 192.168.1.1

    DNS Pri 192.168.1.1
    DNS Sec 192.168.1.0
(Usually I set the Gateway and DNS numbers the same and it usually works. The Gateway is the IP address of your wifi router.)

If this fails and all numbers are correct, then it may be that the WiFi router will not work with the DS as some brands simply refuse to work with it for unkown reasons.

Anohter solution is to get a WiFi USB dongle and connect to that.
