Hi - I have a Heil outside airconditioner unit - I had pulled out two wires from it and was wondering what those wires do and how to reconnect them - it was a thin black wire that had two wires coming out from it - one was red coated and the other white - the end of the two wires are now exposed, meaning that the wires are bare, beyond the plastic coating

They probably come from the thermostat inside and go to the low voltage connections on the contactor in the outside unit. Those will be the connections for the coil in the contactor. Let me know if you have any questions.

Locating filter location on my Heil variable speed furnace G8MTLO701412A1

If the unit is a packaged unit (blower and everything is outside), it may be like mine. Mine has a narrow and tall cover that pulls up and off to reveal the slide in from the side filter. Mine is situated just behind the unit, between it and the large ductwork going under the house. Took me a while to find mine as well.

How do i remove the motor from a Crosley AirConditioner, model CAR24CSS?

If it is the fan motor, you should see brackets that hold it down. Remove the bolts and the wires to the motor and pull it out. If this is an outside unit, MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE POWER before.

How long is the compressor in my heil max pro 10 waranty good for

Not sure which model number the Heil Max Pro 10 warranty uses. Heil will usally place the model number on the side of the outside unit or inside the cabinet for thee Inside unit. Click here for a direct link to=> Heil HVAC
Use care when reading any warranty because the wording is mostly written so you do not understand.
To help you decide which Heil product and warranty protection is best for you, select from the following at-a-glance comparisons.

Hi I have a window airconditioner that was leaking and my husband looked up online how to clean it... he used the water hose from outside to clean it... now it's not working... could he have gotten...

Yes, most definitely. Especially if the unit was not turned Off and unplugged when he did it. Leave it Off and unplugged for a day or 2. Hopefully, when it dries completely, it may start up again.
What leaves me wondering, is how cleaning it with a garden hose was going to unclog the drain in the condensation pan? Which is what was causing the leak in the front of the unit. If it was leaking outside, that's normal.

I have just purchased and installed a Samsung AQ12FEN. A qualified Airconditioner company installed the unit. The slpit unit installation is a back to back configuration It replaced a 8 year old split...

This could be caused by an installation problem. The system could be severly overcharged, causing the compressor to load up and can cause a failure. i would start there. Is your intaller qualified to install these systems? (does he know what he is doing?)
I recommend, checking the refrigerant pressures first. You can also check the Polarity of the high voltage in to the outdoor unit. If the compressor is an Inverter Drive compressor, and the polarity is reversed, the compressor can run backwards causing the noise and eventual failure. To correct a polarity problem, simply remove the 2 high voltage wires that feed power to the outdoor unit from the board or contactor. Then reconnect those 2 wires, in the opposite position. (say you take loose from the unit and the Black wire is on the right side, and the white wire is on the left side. Simply swap sides, reconnect the Black wire on the left side, and the White wire on the right side.

Hope this helps,

I have an airconditioner a Kelvinator KSR20C Split system

Your condensor fan motor has more than likely gone out. This fan should run at all times when the unit is on. Since the fan isn't working then the motor must have gone out.

The outside unit is not working on my Heil Air conditioner

The attic fan is not a part of your a/c system, and you should not run it while you are running the a/c. If you are currently using the attic fan, it is possible that someone wired it so that the a/c won't turn on while the attic fan is on. Otherwise if the thermostat is set below room temp, and says it is calling for cool, then the problem is most likely coming from an issue at the outside unit itself. Make sure to check your fuses, at the fuse panel and outside breaker. Hope this helps

FYI.. the only part of the system that might use batteries is the thermostat.
