I have a Canon Dr-9080C scanner which is brand new and it is giving an error code.
The scanner worked great for one day and the following morning it gives error code P00.
The P00 is a paper jam code according to the user manual. Obviously, there is no paper jam and scanner continues to list this code the counter display.
I’m at a loss, is there a procedure to completely reset the scanner?
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks for your help in advance.
To check the page count install the driver and setup the scanner as a "scanner device" on your computer. Once you have done that , go to the "control panel" than "scanners and printers". Right-click on the device that says "Cannon DR-9080C" and select "properties". The device information will appear, than select the "counter" tab on the information box; the scan count will be listed.
The POO error can also be caused by the little sensors in the outside edges collecting dust or if you wiped out the scanner with anything damp they will react to foging as if they are being covered.
Canon 9080C is a good scanner and will not fail on 2nd day. Just check if there is any small bit of paper stuck in any of the sensors. Remove the rubber rollers, clean and refit them.

I have the same model Canon DR-9080C scanner which I recently acquired and I'm trying to figure out how used it is. I see many referrign to a counter. I see the big LCD on top front, but how do you know how many total pages have been scanned through it? I read somewhere there is a mechanical scanner. Is this true?
