Can't get TV picture after hooking up PS 2

How many sets RCA ports (for Video 1 / Video 2 so on and on) does your TV have?
tip

PS3 Has no Video - Simple fix!

When you attach your Play Station 3 to an HD TV through an HDMI port, the Play Station 3 will ask you if you wish to switch to HD Mode.

However, if you decide to move it to another TV that is not HD compatible, you will get no picture because the Play Station 3 is “stuck” in HD (HDMI) mode.

Follow these steps to resolve your problem:

1. Turn off the PS3 so it only shows a red light. You can hold the power button on the front until it goes into standby. To be sure, flick the power switch on the back of the Play Station 3 off and then back on.

2. Make sure your Play Station 3 is connected to your regular TV (not HDTV) with the standard video cables.

3. Press and hold the power button until the screen "flickers" and then immediately release. This should reset the video settings.

4. Wait a few seconds, and the Play Station 3 (PS3) logo should appear.

If this does not resolve the problem, follow these steps:

3. Press and hold the power button on the front until the Play Station 3 beeps and then turns off again. This should reset the video for you and you can turn it back on after this.

That’s it! You can play your Play Station 3 again!

The video and audio will not show up when using the standard jacks but everything works fine when using high def cable what would cause the standard cables not to work.

Hi, this happens because your console is set to use that definition. When you change tv or cables, just reset the video settings. It's pretty simple: switch on your console, hold on the switch until you hear 2 beeps. Now video settings are reset. Regards, Peter

Toshiba television will change from tv/video mode to

I would check to see if the Input button is stuck on the front panel of TV. If it is not stuck then it is probably still bad. Tactile switches are notorious for failing in this manor. The only real fix if it is not stuck down is replacing the switch.
I hope this helps,

DVD Screen won't go back to TV mode

I'm pretty sure on either the remote or tv is an INPUT or TV/VIDEO button to switch between the inputs. Hope that helps. You can always unplug it and plug it back in to get it back to TV. Hope that helps.
