This is a problem within your ATX power supply . Better to get it repaired or replaced , otherwise each switch-on surge would damage your comp components eventually .

System not booting, k8n

Have you tried resetting the bios? turn off the computer and remove the power cable connected to the power ATX power supply, look for the "clr_cmos" jumper and change the settings from 1-2 to 2-3 for approx. 10 secs, then return the jumpers to original settings and reconnnect the power cable and turn on the computer. This was the solution when i had the same problem before. Hope this helps you too.

I F disced my computer recently and now am trying to set it up again. Where can i find drivers to install my ASUS k8n-e socket 754 motherboard online?

Try this download site:

click on the download button, select one of the "external mirror" links, and it should begin to download the driver for it.

K8n-lr motherboard

1 long beep and 2 shorts beeps indicates a problem with your RAM. If you have more than one RAM chip, remove one of them to rule out a faulty chip. If you only have one chip, remove and reseat it. For clarity, you can find the manual for your board at; http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=K8N-LR And the Asus general motherboard troubleshooting manual at; http://support.asus.com/images/document/ts/E2437_MB.zip

ASUS K8N-VM mother board win98 drives

Try going to the Asus website and look for support for your MB drivers and Operating System.

If there is no longer any Win98 support for your MB then I suggest a fresh computer and more recent software for less hassle!
A ten year old OS indicates to me that you might be stuck until you go with the flow!
Cruel but true.
Hopefully the recent cheap prices for computers pre-installed with Vista or XP will persuade you.
