If there is a protection light then you have a bad power or ground connection. First thing I recommend you do is to get a regular test light with a ground alligator clip and test for a ground on your power cable. The way to do this is to place the alligator clip to either your amp turn on wire which is the small blue wire coming from your radio to turn the amp on or another powered wire and place the tip of the test light to the main power cable that powers the amp or the Capacitor and if your test light lights up then you have to trace the power cable from amp back to battery + terminal and see where the power cable is pinched or making a ground contact also check your blue amp turn on wire and see if it has a ground to it. If all this checks out then check your cars battery terminals, make sure they are not loose, corroded, rusty or damaged check fuses or take out amps fuses and reinsert to see if it resets, check all ground connections on amp and cap,if none of this works for you then you might have a defective cap or amp.

Good luck.

My Yamaha receiver RX v575 will not power up it has a blinking red light when trying to power up

"My Yamaha receiver RX v575 will not power up it has a blinking red light when trying to power up "
Never press power button more than 3 times. Your amp will be locked, otherwise.
(1)Download RXV575 service manual.
(2)Read P.25 to 29 to see if protection occurs.
(3)Read P.31 and follow the diag steps.
(4)If I protect, check all power transistors,two
0.22Ohm resistors and biasing circuit such as
all components connected to Q2022 of front L channel, on P.108.
(5)If dc protect, check if DC comes out from speaker terminal, opening metal cover required.
(6)If thermal protect, replace a thermal sensor.
(7)If power supply problem, ps prt, check all
power supply circuits, including regulators and

I have a 600 watt diamond audio amp hooked up to 2 pioneer 10s the amp comes on but slowly shuts down speakers have sound at first but gets lower as amp light dimms. What's going on. Also I have a boss 20...

Short circuited component/s at amps' audio output stage circuit. Contact any service technician to get it repaired. Short circuit protection circuit is built inside this set, and it will detect the internal short circuit, when it occurs, and will shut the set's power OFF, to protect the speaker and other components. That is happening here.

How do I fix my Brutus elite 2100 the protect light is on

If you are sure the amp isn't fried, then one of the subs are. unhook the subs and rcas. leave power connected. power off the car and back on. if the protect light comes back on, then you need to send it in for repair you have some burnt up transistors or caps in the amp.

Hello, i have a nitro bmw 486 amp. i use it to power my 2 subwoofers in my trunk. its a very good amp and sure does its job, but randomly the light will turn red, which means protect, and my subs will shut...

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty D .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. nitro-lv2kkrmxrai4iihdvw4m3np2-1-0_0.jpg

INFINITY AMP PROTECTION LIGHT FLASHING

Overload maybe. If the amp is run at an improper impedence, the amp will shut down. If you are "CLIPPING" speakers / subwoofers the light will blink to indicate a hard clip . Example: 4ohm/2ohm stable amp with 4 ohm subs wired at 1 ohm.

Sony explode amp for my car

Try disconnecting everything but the power connections. If the protection light still comes on, then there's a problem in the amp. If it goes out, then there's a problem elsewhere. In that case, hook up one speaker cable at a time and power on. If the protection light comes on, then either that speaker is bad, or you've got too many speakers connected to that one amp output. Too many speakers connected together can cause an overload and trigger the protection circuitry, or worse, blow out something out.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice.
Thank you, and good luck!!

Mac-505 amp

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally (no protect light), the wiring needs to be checked. If it still goes into protect, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
