My DVD player has black dots all over the screen. Do I need to replace the screen? Is it possible to just replace the screen, or do you have to buy a whole new unit?

I recently got this 2005 montana sv6 from my grandoa and thedvd player was jamming up and not working ...Missing: movies
There is no fuse box. There may not even be a fuse inside the dvd player. If it was possible that it did have a fuse, it would blow again because of a short circuit. Most dvd players are inexpensive. Just buy a new one. It is not worth getting it repaired.
You need to run a continuity test
on the DVD player first, to see if
it has any bad connections inside.
If that is okay then a bad fuse or
a problem in the wiring.
Usually sound is heard through car speakers not by screen... so there might be power problem with screen. If not, you just need to check video cable connected vetween player and screen.
