You are missing Blue signal, check the VGA cable and all the pins at both ends, try it on another PC also.

Yellow screen

There are a variety of problems that can happen to the display monitor of an Acer laptop.
The most common problem is the screen fading or becoming too hard to see.
This can be corrected by adjusting the brightness levels.
Another common problem involves incorrect color, which can be resolved by adjusting the display color settings.
Yet another big problem is the display freezing or appearing jumpy, which can be resolved by updating the display driver.

Hold down the "Fn" key.
Tap the right-arrow key to brighten the display screen.

Tap the left-arrow key to darken the display screen.
Release the "Fn" key to save your display settings.
Color
Right-click on the desktop and click "Graphic Properties."
Adjust the screen resolution by clicking "Display Settings" and choosing a resolution setting from the drop-down menu.
Click "Apply" to check the resolution of the display.
Click "OK" to save the resolution settings.

Adjust the color of the screen by clicking "Color Correction" and moving the brightness or contrast slider to the right or left.
Click "Apply" to check the color resolution of the display.
Click "OK" to save the color settings.

Click "OK" to exit the Graphic Properties application.
Update the Display Driver
Right-click on the desktop. Click "Personalize," "Display Settings" and "Advanced Settings."
Click the "Intel Graphics" tab and choose "Monitor Properties."
Click "Driver."

Click "Update Driver" and choose "Search Automatically."
Click "Install" to install the updated monitor driver. After the driver has been installed, click "OK" to restart the laptop when prompted.
Yellow screen
Yellow tinting in monitors can be caused by either a software calibration issue, bad cables or a worn out display and backlight.
Before you assume that the issue is a hardware one, determine if there are software settings that affect the color or if the cables are working correctly.
After checking these items, and if the yellow tint only occurs on one monitor and you cannot eliminate it, the problem is a display hardware issue and it is less expensive to replace the monitor.

Unplug the power cord from the monitor and replace it with another one.
This is a standard power cord used in printers, monitors and desktop PCs so you can trade it for a cable from another device.
Turn on the PC and monitor to see if the yellow is still there.
Turn off the computer and monitor.
Replace the video cable with another VGA cable from another monitor.
Use one from another computer before going out to buy one.
Restart the computer to see if the yellow tint is gone.
Right click any area on the desktop and click "Properties" from the list of options that appears.
Choose "Display Settings," then "Advanced Settings."
Select "Monitor" and click the "Calibrate Color" button.
Wait to see if the yellow tint goes away.
Locate the temperature color settings on the monitor.
Adjust these to see if there is a change in the color.
A warm color setting will give the screen images more of a yellowish tint.
Click on the "Start" icon, then click "Control Panel" and "System and Security" and choose "Device Driver."
Locate the video driver and click "Update."
Select the option allowing Windows to connect to the Internet to find an updated driver.
Wait for the update to complete in a few minutes.
Expect the yellowing issue to disappear.
Connect the PC to another monitor to see if the same problem occurs.
If the yellow tint does not appear on the newly connected monitor, the problem is a bad backlight or display and the monitor should be replaced with a new one.

We suddenly have a yellow green tint on our Sony SXRD widescreen projection television. We were unable to change the hue when adjusting the controls. Is the monitor going bad and if so is that a major...

I have a 2006 SXRD 50" TV. The same thing happened to me as the TV warmed I would get this yellowish tint that started to fill my entire screen. This is due to a bad optic block. Sony actually had a recall on this and was able to get a new one and have it installed. Here is a link explaining what it is. You might still be able to get a new optic block if your model number is affected.

Projector displaying yellow tint in center of screen.

The yellow tint is probably coming from the lens. It could be that the glass is tempered or possibly just needs to be cleaned.

Yellow tint on screen

Hello mac71ncheese,

Sometime it's the simple things that go wrong. Have you tried to unplug the monitor from the back of the computer and look to see if their are any of the prong's bent. If so get a screw driver and make it straight up again. Or if they're not bent, just try and reset the plug back into the computer, all they while the computer is on is fine. Sometimes when the cables come loose they will be yellowish, or greenish or just red. It's worth a try!

Good Luck, and don't forget to leave a rating,

Thanks Mark

Monitor displaying yellow tint

Try this. Worked for me immediately, including with PhotoShop

  1. Go to Color Management (in Vista, just click the Windows Orb / Start Search & type in Color Management)
  2. On Devices, select your display (repeat if you have multiple ones... at least I did). e.g., Syncmaster ....
  3. Check the box: Use my settings for this device
  4. Select any and all profiles you have and Remove them.
Check to see if that fixed it. You may need to restart. I didn't have to.

The LCD display needs to be replaced. It has kind-of-a dull yellow tint. I guess you tried changing the brightness, contrast, etc.
