I've replaced the fuser after receiving the 980 notice, but still says 980 fatal error. Are there any resets for this i may be missing?

I have am Oki Data C6100 and I just got a 980: FATAL ERROR message. I replaced the fuser about a month ago and now it is showing up again. Last Wed I had a paper jam several times. I took out the jammed...

paper jam is a main issue in printer when you clear the paper jam normally a tiny piece of paper falls into the printer and the printer get stuck again to clear the printer of tiny piece remove the toner and use a light blower and blow away the piece of paper this should be done only after removing the power and the usb from the printer after cleaning connect the power and the usb and restart your computer

I had a piece of paper wrap around the fuser of my Oki C5650 printer. I have removed the paper (all of it.), but now it is displaying a 980 Fatal Error code. What do I do now?

I just had a service call with a 980 error. i removed the paper wrapped around the fuser roller but the error persisted. The only thing that cleared the error was to replace the fuser. I am not sure why but the fuser was shot after it had the paper wrap inside it.

There is no reset to clear the error. The only fix was to replace the fuser.

980: Fatal Error

From the Service Manual:
*Service call
980:Error

*Error by media
clinging to the fuser

*Media has clung to the fuser.

*Power OFF
Replace the fuser unit.

Suggestion -
Before you replace the fuser, take it out and check for a piece of stuck label, paper, etc. You can spin the fuser roller by turning the gear on the side.
