Cell phone screen not illuminating , power comes on , keypad illuminates , can make a call but screen illuminating does not occur

You may have a faulty battery/phone. This seems to be a common problem with this type of phone. If you can take it and have them check it for SAFETY CONCERNS That would be ideal, as they can reset it for you.
Caution! This WILL erase everything on the phone. You will have to confirm you want to do this before it will complete. (This is why you backup your phone. You may wish to remove the SD card FIRST.)
1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds then release.
3. With the LED illuminated red, press and hold the Power button+Volume down key+Camera key simultaneuously then release.
The LED illuminates approximately 20-30 seconds after releasing the power button (step 2). The 3-key combination must be pressed within the 1-2 second timeframe that the LED is illuminated.
4. Press the Power button to confirm and continue.
5. Again, press the Power button to confirm and continue.
( Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.)

How to sing uo

you must clean the keypad and contacts. You need to go to the repair shop and fix it.

Power down....remove phone battery for 15 minutes then replace and power up again.
If this does not reset then you have a failed visual display screen and need to take the phone to the mobile repair shop in town.

Press the touch screen once or twice to get it to illuminate so that you can see the unlocking option. On some models you might have to press a side button or the power button once to pull up the "Unlock" screen.

2 Touch the "Unlock" or similar button on the touch screen.

3 Type in your password if you've set one for the phone. Some cell phones just require you to press a series of buttons on the touch screen or accompanying keypad to confirm that you want to unlock the phone.

4 Press "Enter" to unlock the cell phone, which allows you to access your messages and menu options.

u need to reinstall the phone software ............. by flashing !!

in most cases the fibre ribbon gets worn out.
you can try a local cellphone repair shop, or sony service if you can afford it.
the ribbon needs to be replaced.

just take the phone to a mobile center and have them replace the flexcable on the phone.

try to call a number wen the keypads are illuminating,if call rings means then it might be ur phones display problem... then open the panel and adjust the display connector...

1 of two things: Go into your settings and look for either "Keypad" or "Display" and see if keypad lights are set to ON.

2. Your phone does have a light sensor built into the keypad, normally the keypad will not illuminate unless insufficient lighting conditions are present. If it's pitch black out and the keypad still isn't illuminating and your settings have the keypad lights ON .... You should bring your phone to the nearest Verizon wireless corporate store to see about either replacement or upgrading.
