You may have a faulty battery/phone. This seems to be a common problem with this type of phone. If you can take it and have them check it for SAFETY CONCERNS That would be ideal, as they can reset it for you.
Caution! This WILL erase everything on the phone. You will have to confirm you want to do this before it will complete. (This is why you backup your phone. You may wish to remove the SD card FIRST.)
1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Press and hold the
Power button for 3 seconds then release.
3. With the LED illuminated red, press and hold the
Power button+
Volume down key+
Camera key simultaneuously then release.
The LED illuminates approximately 20-30 seconds after releasing the
power button (step 2). The 3-key combination must be pressed within the
1-2 second timeframe that the LED is illuminated.
4. Press the
Power button to confirm and continue.
5. Again, press the
Power button to confirm and continue.

Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.)
