The most likely culprit here is a the pump, which may either be blocked, or broken.

You should be able to get access to the inside of the pump through a small hatch on the front panel of the machine at floor level. Beware - as you open this, really quite a lot of water is going to come out, so you'll need tomething to catch it, and you may need to shut the cover a few times if your container fills up before the machine is empty.

Once you've got into this space, remove all the loose coins which have accumulated there. If you think you found enough to block the pump and stop it working, put things back together and see if the machine is fixed.

If not, turn off the cold water supply, and run the machine in tumble-dry mode for a few seconds at a time while watching the pump impeller (looks like little fan) in the back of this cavity.

If it doesn't start whizzing round of it's own accord every time, then you need a new pump motor. These are cheap, readily available on the net, and straightforward to fit.

If the pump appears to start and run OK, then check for kinks and blockages in the hose that goes from the drum down to the pump, and in the drain hose that goes from the pump out the back of the machine. Finally, make sure that where the drain hose plugs into the standpipe (of whatever fitting is used in your part of the world to connect to the domestic drains), air can get in freely.

Why do i have loud noises coming from my washing machine only whilst it spins

The bearing in the drum has failed and it's always noiier as it spins faster as there is more debris being thrown around inside the hardened steel casing of the bearing. Bad news is that's a write off. Uneconomical repair. It will tear its self apart shortly, probably leaking grease into the wash and leaving black marks everywhere, oor the drive belt will come off, or the drum will impact the front gasket and fill the drum with smoke. Any way you look at it, it's almost certainly going to destroy a load of washing. Throw it away now before it wrecks your washing

Won't agitate

My kitchenaid superba washing machine's agitator is making loud noises and is just twirling the clothes in one direction. It seems to be loose or something. The clothes spin fine on the spin cycle. Any thoughts?

Whirlpool washing machine make loud noise after spin cycle quits. Noise continues until cycle winds down. Sounds like a machine gun being fired

Hello, have to tell you that most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping noise during the spin, the load of cloth may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the cloths, then restart the machine. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Thanks

It has begun to make a loud knocking noise when on fast spin, what could be the problem?

Its very possible that the load you have in the washer was too big, you had too many clothes in there. That or you had something heavy like shoes or something in there or while washing your load got off balance (clothes shifted to one side) and thats what started the knocking.

Vibration of wash machine

Hi!

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. If there's a loud thumping noise during the spin cycle, the load of clothes has probably gotten unbalanced. Open the lid, redistribute the clothes in the washer, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

NAV5800a top loader washer

The inside of your agitator became worn, and possible strip out the spline that allows the agitator to properly grip the shaft. The loud noise mustly occurs during the spin cycle. If you hear this loud noise your load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it.
