3 in x 5 in (min) - Legal (8.5 in x 14 in) (max) is the spec per HP. Have you tried to set up the paper size as "custom" in both the driver and the program? This may help if the size you want is not listed in the properties dropdown.

Trying to print wedding invitations that are size 5.50 by 8.50 and keep getting a paper size mismatch error even after changing the setting in the size

The paper size on the printer and the paper size from the software must match.

Look for the owners manual for the printer and loook for the section that describes how to set the paper size on the printer.

Good Luck

I printed wedding invitations and now if you rub the invitations the ink rubs off. Is there any way to get the ink to set (or not rub off) now that I have finished printing everything!!! Help I need to...

Maybe someione is trying to tell you something LOL.

The time to figure this out is *before* you print invitations as a DIY project. There's a set of photographic inks and paper that keep the product from smearing and there's always the commercial printer. Unfortunately for you, you get to learn this lesson too late. Here's the reading material on inks http://www.hp.com/products1/printpermanence/pdfs/finals/Water-resistance_article.pdf

Faded printing on 5x7 size paper

Sure. One of the papers is probably clay based (Shiny) and one is rag based (rough and dull). Clay based produces the most vibrant inkjet images and rag based produces the best laser printer images. I bet the two papers are different in composition. I see this all the time.

Paper size mismatch for A9 envelope (5.75x8.75)

Set the envelope size in the printer properties paper size list to A5 (5.83 x 8.27) which is only .08 inches wider than the short side of an A9 envelope (5.75 inches). The paper size sensor on the HP6520 printer must not be sensitive enough to tell the difference. I can print A9 envelopes just fine using the A5 setting.

Problem printing on thicker paper

The error that you are getting is telling you that the paper size or type you picked in setup is not what the printer is detecting. Once you verify that you did choose the right type & size, the next thing to check is to make sure the paper path is clear. If a piece of paper is covering a sensor this might cause the message to appear. If you don't see anything in the way, take a can of compressed air and blow out the path.

when you hit 'PRINT' the window that opens up to complete the job will have a button called 'preferences'. Check to see that the paper selected isn't photo paper. You will have you choice of paper type thickness and size.

Paper mismatch

Hi kingwa55,

I have an hp photosmart c4480 and was having the same problem printing wedding invitations. Same size 5.5"x8.5'. Im not sure if this will work on your printer, but this is what I had to do.

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print, properties, features, click the drop down box under sizing options.
Click more and scroll to the bottom and it should be there.

If your options are different then mine, I'm sorry for wasting your time.
