Have Jenn-Air model CCG2523. When first turning on any of the 5 gas burners, the spark igniter at the ctr rear burner continues to fire for at least 1-2 mins before eventually turning itself off. Any reasons why this occurs and what can I do to remedy? The cooktop is now about 10 yrs old. Thx for the help. If I need to replace parts as a result of general wear and tear, where is best place to go? rgds,Alex

All cook top burners spark when any is turned on
OK, the best action is to call for service, if the unit was just installed, and purchased. This unit should be covered at this time, by the manufactures warranty, or store 30 day warranty. This repair should be free. The culprit will be a faulty spark ignition switch, and module. Testing is required. Once this switch, or(module), is replaced, the unit will operate correctly.

Gas igniters on all five burners keep sparking (JennAir CCG556B)
Try cleaning around all the ignitors at each burner. Look for build up of cleansing product and/or food. Sometimes all it takes is a good cleaning and removal of a buildup to solve this. Worth trying before replacing a bunch of parts!

Hi

It seems like you got water into the ignitor switches on under the knobs. Sometimes it takes 48 hours for this to dry out. Or you can pull the knobs and use a hair dryer on to dry out the switches. Clicking sound whenever I turn on a burner
There is no problem. The click your hearing is the spark module igniting the gas. The clicking will only occur while the know is turned to ignite and will stop after your turn the knog to any other setting.
